thanks for this post,deefan!

firstly, the idea of radhika-keshav's marriage should be dropped... we already have dev-vishaka living together and now keshav-radhika also! no this cant happen

dev should not consummate his marriage with vishaka! instead at this point, keshav should help radhika become more confident, i dont really mind him turning negative but i dont want radhika to lie that she is married to keshav.

also, the creatives should look at the development of the characters... honestly, not even 1 character has been developed properly, there are loopholes here and there..

radhika should become someone who can fight for her rights when there is a need.. vishaka should stop pretending and tell dev the truth abt what she really wants, and i am sure dev would be more than happy to help her...dev should become more responsible towards his duties for the family rather than going behind radhika all the time however he should not ignore radhika totally. mrinalini should learn to understand her husband's worth.so what if he is handicapped? arjun should start to be thankful for having a wife like deepika who is so innocent.. susheel should stop plotting and concentrate on doing something good..as for devki, she should learn to stand up against amma and explain to amma that whatever she is doing is wrong.. amma should just concentrate on puja rather than ruining radhika's life.

Dear writers,
As a representative of your international audience (Holland...), I watch Indian soaps for the fascinating glimpse into Indian life, and the romance, which has gone missing from most western soaps. The concept of Chhoti Bahu is beautiful and romantic, with two leading characters that have unbelievable on-screen chemistry. Unfortunately, this soap is now taking a wrong turn, similar to "Kasamh Se", a soap I also avidly watched until the romance was written out of the show. In addition, without knowing much about Hindu religion, I can only surmise that what is shown here is a gross misrepresentation.
Have some courage, create a show with real romance and real marriages, I think you just might see your popularity soar!

Here are my two cents, or three. :).
1. They should not show the Dev-Rad revelation as a by the way thing. It should not be blurted out, or caused due to Vishakha running away. It should be 'realised'. Dev should realize, joining the dots that he is married to Radhika. I want him to question Radhika - her doing the pooja, their talk during the wedding pheras, etc. I want him to also develop a relationship with Vishakha - don't get me wrong, but as a friend. He should talk to Vishakha, and should question why she ran away or why is 'she pretending' to do things for him, when he knows she is not. They should then show that Vishakha and Dev develop a friendship - which causes Vishakha to realise that he is a nice human being and that she should not use this relationship - eventually causing her to tell the truth and then Dev to tell her the truth. This way, Vishakha can still pursue her career, without being negative and also help Radhika get the rights of a Choti Bahu. May be Dev and Vish can team up as Jija Sali (I really want Vishakha to realize, that She is his sali, through her conscience) and get Radhika the rights, when the two characters are together and the lies are for a good cause, it will be fun and comic to watch - how they do it.
2. They should show Radhika to realise that she is doing wrong by weaving so many lies. I want her to develop a spine. True she is indebted to her family - but this fluctuation is not helping at all.
3. No Keshav Radhika track.
4. No Mrilani exposing Radhika.
5. Devki's conscience waking up.
The thing is that the mess is too bad. I would want this mess and all the knots to be cleared in a good way - so that every one is happy - not as Mrinalini being able to expose them,. or Vishakha running away. That way it becomes a mockery. Why cant vishakha and dev develop a relationship and slowly Vishakha and Devki develop a conscience. Why cant Dev realize through the dots that Radhika is doing this out of obligation etc. This way, the whole mess can be slowly uncovered without any disgrace, or hurt.
Thanks,
Madhuri.

I think that the show purposely evoked a set of hindu religious practices to purposely show the eternal nature of RaDev's love. And that initially added to the power of the show. There was a sense that humans can not destroy what is larger than all of us and that (for us who are hindu) is a set of traditions and beliefs that form the core of our society.
But the show has mis-handled this responsibility. The characters themselves, who are supposed to be very religious have no faith in the sanctities of these traditions. How can we believe that Rad would not have her first allegiance be to her husband and therefore speak the truth? It was convenient for her to say that Kanha wanted her to stay in Dev's house... but what else does Kanha want her to do? Stand up for the truth of the rituals that she performed? How can she push her unmarried sis to sleep with Dev? How can she allow Dev to become a rajpurojit and live with a woman?
The show tool on very large topics such as faith religion, rituals and the meaning of a hindu society. It needs to honor these same rituals by demonstrating that they have meaning.
I am extremely disappointed in a show that promised so much.

there is still time for creatives to plan tracks wherein rad,s marraige is revealed..

devki looks and feels guilty maybe kanha should give her courage to tell the truth before it is tool late,
viewers are getting really impatient .do something act fast
i hope creatives will heed this
everyone loves radhika and want justice.

Deefan, thanks for the opportunity to get some things off my chest......
(Since this will be forwarded I will try to make it clear, concise and general)
Choti Bahu has the ability to be a terrific show, but unfortunately it seems as though the writers have lost track of what building a story requires. We as views enjoy the drama, twists and turns and such....we also would enjoy watching a series that stay true to the original story as it was presented.
I am highly disapointed in the mistreatment of religion and cultural customs in this series. The fan base for this show spans world wide and as such the writers should remember to present the base of their stories in an honest light. It honestly hurts to see such important religious and cultural flaws in this show.
***Please note that I am an American Roman Catholic and if I'm offended by the way the writers portray marriage and religion in CB, I can only imagine the utter repulsiveness Hindus must feel over this drama series.***

Stop - Radhika is already married - It is a sin to even think of getting her married again to Keshav. Stop that track. Please! Get rid of Keshav

Dee, Question?
This is a great idea. Wonderful. How will you get this thread to the Creatives? What is the plan?

Thanks for this opportunity. Most of the fans of Radhika and Dev would like to see them reunite so that all these lies are stopped. THeir chemistry is so good. Radhika not wearing her sindoor has again lied . Everyday there are more and more lies. Please change the track and give us a beaufitul story of husband and wife with problems that may crop up but which they resolve together with Kanha's help. Radhika should now be given her role as choti bahu which she will fulfill with so much devotion and passion.

Suggestions for a quick end that will bring Dev and Rad together:

1. Amma's BP boils over, and she reveals the truth on hospital bed (not so good---what to do with Vishaka).
2. Vishaka sneaking out for shoot, late as usual. Not watching where is going as she hurries to studio. Big bad truck bearing down on her, driver honking loudly but thinking of putting foot on brake.

Vishaka knocked unconscious, stretcher case, ends up in hospital fighting for life.

Doctor with grave face "only god can save her".

Vishaka regains hosh, just long enough to inform all present that Radhika is the true CB, then kicks bucket.

All shocked, but Devki confirms truth.

Purohits mourn the departed actress, then settle down.

Shastri upset with shenanigans in family becomes a sanyasi.

In short----END IT rather than keep on going haphazardly.

Or, send Keshav back, and let Dev and Rad again meet surreptitiously for those special moments.
