From the precap we know that Vishakha is contemplating running away. Her precious ambitions will be ruined if she agrees to live like real husband and wife. Like someone else said in one of the posts, she is the only one with guts and will do what she wants to. So with all this, it is definite that Dev and Vishakha will not remain married for long.
Now to say whether Dev's action is right or wrong - Dev is trying desperately to reform and be an ideal son. He wants to make his family happy and hence has taken this step. So I think he is doing the right thing.
