Everyone, I know you guys are feeling bad for Rubina as her shows, that started with so much promised, haven't worked out for her. It is not that easy as TV industry is very competitive especially for women. There are many couples where the guy has got more roles than the girl. For example, Gurmeet has got three serials so far and his wife Debina to my knowledge has only got one (Ramayan).
It seems that the actors who get a role in love stories get most popular even if ratings are average or below average. Example Geet, IPK1 etc. So actresses from these shows such as Sanaya and Dristhi Dhami are the ones who get roles easily because of popularity.
Now PV2 was a good show for Rubina if they had concentrated on love story of Raj and Divya. But both Karan and Rubina were channel's choice whereas Sristhi was PH's choice. So she got the most visibility from the very beginning and continues to do so now. It seems from what you all have written that even Karan's character is becoming secondary as the PH is desperate to prove that their choice of Shristy was the best and others were mistakes. Sita's role has not worked out because Mahadev is on its last legs and it is hard to sustain audience interest as Shiv is the main character.
The good thing about all this is that Rubina got exposed to different PHs. I know Mittals did not treat her right. But Nikhil Sinha (of Mahadev) gave her a role as Sita. It is possible that she may get another role in his next serial. Just because she had one bad year, it does not mean that she would never get another role. There are other well known names of other serials who have not yet got a lead role.
Avinash on the other hand got a really good opportunity with a good PH and a good director. Also he is getting a lot of appreciation for his role and he is the main attraction of that show. He has now got a lot of new following and it has only been a month. So even if his show does not get huge ratings (because of time), he would get good roles in future.
I know CB was special and it would always remain so. But participating in a new forum where there are still fans of CB is a good thing. You should participate on the new forum and that forum is quite peaceful compared to PV2 where the mods did not do a good job.
