His name is Manish Wadhwa and he also enacted as Chanakya in Imagine Tv's Chandragupta Maurya. He is a very good actor with a solid theatre background. For me the best Chanakya on TV has been Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi in the Doordarshan series of the same name. I watched some episodes of Imagine Tv's Chanakya and liked his acting. Did not like the show that much because to me the original show on Chanakya was much better but liked Manish and the actor (Rushiraj) who enacted as young Chandragupta. Incidently the same boy enacted as Kartikeye in Mahadev. Both have very good screen presence and were completely believable as Chanakya and young Chandragupta. I know that he is in Avinash's show but I would have liked him to be Ravan and match his wits to Rubina's spunky Sita.. I am hoping that he will have loads of scenes with Avinash...both have a very good screen presence and would be interesting to see them together on the screen ...specially if they are pitted against each other.
Misti, I too think that Dr. Dwivedi was the best Chanakya and his Chanakya was good even though I have only seen few episodes of it.
I too prefer Manish Wadhwa as Raavan and it would have been great to see his and Rubina's scenes of confrontation. I also wish they had Saurab Jain (Vishnu) playing Ram as he would have looked better with Sita and he has those smiling eyes - a requirement for Ram and Krishn in my view. Piyush would have been better as Hanuman which is also a major role. But Saurabh got a role in Mahabhart and Manish got a role in Avi's show. So it is a loss for this version of Ramayan.
As far as Kartikeye is concerned, initially I did not think much of him in the first episode or so. But then he grew on me as Kartikeye. Then I started liking him because he was very good as Kartikeye especially the one who had issues with Mahadev.
