It's only been two months since Punarvivaah – Ek Nayi Umeed has started and already there's trouble with the show. Rubina Dilaik who is playing one of the lead roles as Divya Malhotra has quit the show. Says Rubina, "The story started out as TV actress Divya's personal life story but after a week, the focus shifted to the married couple Sarita (Shristy Rode) and Raj (Karan V Grover).

And since the past 17 days, my track has been missing. When I asked the production house they told me that they will be able to decide about my track only after 20 days when the TRPs (Television Rating Points) will be available.

Also, I was told if there's a good project in the offing, I should consider it. That's when I told them to give me a letter of termination of my contract." However, the producers, she says, have asked her to wait till Monday. In the meantime, Rubina has written a mail to the channel Zee explaining her stand. "I am indebted to the channel for whatever it has done for me — (She came into the limelight with Zee's Chhoti Bahu).

Even for this show, they were the ones who wanted me to be the central figure. However, they are not aware of what is happening as the team is on a vacation abroad," says the actress, who nevertheless wishes that the show does well.

About her future course of action, Rubina says she overlooked many lucrative offers for Punarvivaah and is currently in a daze with the way things have shaped up. "I am still trying to come to terms with this and haven't decided anything yet," she says. However, producer Sumeet Mittal insists that Rubina is part of the show and they are currently working on the further story.😕
