Here is my next VM based on scenes from the Abhay track. This is from Radhika's perspective. I have used the song "Saaiyan" from the movie "Heroine".

This song suits Radhika of CB1, but I had a really hard time making this VM. I gave up on it many times, but finally made an effort to finish it. Let me know if it has turned out ok. I think the hard time was because there were so limited scenes where Radhika was shown to feel hurt or betrayed. Also the song is a difficult one to make with difficult lyrics.

I probably could have made it on Radhika of CB2 when Dev betrayed her. But there were only 2-3 scenes - slap scene, temple scene where Radhika talks about her devastation to Kanha and one bedroom scene where Dev walks out on Radhika. After that, Radhika's hurt was never shown at Dev's behavior. So it was not enough to make this VM.

Anyway, the VM is named "Broken Promise" ; the title is from a poem by an American poet Archibald Macleish. Following are some of the lines from his poem. They don't exactly match the VM, but some lines suit Radhika's belief in Dev's return.

Misti, thanks. No problem about late reply. I know you are quite busy. I feel that Abhay track had a lot of potential, but I have the most problem when I try to make songs from this track. Even though the emphasis was both on Abhay/Dev and Radhika, somehow the scenes/dialogues are so similar in each episode because they were only interested in the second woman track with abuse given to Radhika. So I had a lot of problem getting the emotions I wanted from Radhika's POV for this song.

I guess the mistaken thinking was it that brought ratings. But as you said, it is like talking about split milk.

Misti, thanks. I too liked that part where Avinash was so mesmerized by Radhika and knew that he would be putting chunri on her. It was in contrast to that earlier event where he was also enthralled by Radhika's beauty but that time the rasam was for Rohan. So there was sadness and grief on his face in that first chunri rasam whereas it was happiness in the second chunri rasam. That's the reason I thought that lyrics of "agar mein kahoon" suited Dev of CB2 more.

Broken promise is a very well thought vm, that track for me it showed radhs strenght to regain her husband after he promised he'll b with her forever,he has broken it but she never gave up.. uve showed hrr pain here but also her determination,good job :)

Misti, this song is very funny. But not totally sure about two sets of characters you meant. To me, lyrics of first half of the song are more suited for Chachunder and Abhay. The second half of lyrics seemed suited to Dev(CB2) and RB. So did I get two different sets right or did you mean some other characters.

Myra, thanks. It is a difficult song and I wasn't sure how to mix the scenes. Initially, I tried to make it a mixture of happy and sad moments where either Abhay would be engrossed in her or walk away. But it didn't work out. So I decided to make it where it started from Radhika feeling happy at his acceptance but then getting hurt by him repeatedly because he was rejecting her due to his principles. So also wanted to show her pain/hurt as well as her determination. Also wanted to show his reluctance to hurt her and then his guilt for doing so. Avinash's expressions worked for the ending because he is nasty to her in the last scene but then lowers his eyes in guilt too.

Cristina, this next VM is for you on your recommended song "Mujhe haque hai" from the movie "Vivah". This was a nice song that suited Dev /Radhika of CB1.

I have named it "You belong to Me". This is from song by various artists. I have quoted lyrics of the song by Bob Dylan from the movie "Natural Born Killers" as they suit Dev of CB1. Another song by Jason Wade has almost similar lyrics. This song is from the movie "Shrek".

The lyrics suit Dev because he gave confidence to Radhika during that courtship period from engagment onwards. He also started showing her that he has rights on her and that helped her to recover from all the abuse she suffered in Shastri household. Both Dev and Radhika here were human characters and not the mahan characters that creatives made them later.
