Chachunder was priceless. His expressions used to be priceless. I did not like him at the begining but then he slowly grew on me. I had the same thing with Badi bahu in CB2. Did not like her initially but then she grew on me and she actually became one of my fav characters.
Anyway as fo the songs...I have been thinking about this song from Arakshan and thinking about Abhay and Radhika...

Now for a funny one...this one has twists in it. It can be shown on two different sets of characters...😉

It was the same for me for Chachunder and other characters in CB2 too. For some reason, from second year onwards of CB1, they introduced every new character in such a way that they were not likeable at all. They ended up repelling people in the beginning even when actors were good. It was only later that these characters ended up being settled. In addition to Maheswari and Chachunder, I had same feelings for Virat and Mohini too in the very beginning. In fact, I found even Dev of CB2 very goofy type after his introductory scene in the first week.

For the first video, can see that it fits Abhay and Radhika.

For the second video, I think I know which two sets of characters you are talking about. But I need to listen to lyrics once again to make sure I am on the same page as you are. It is a funny song for sure. So will get back to you on this one before making it.

Somewhere the questions of grandchild alwasy came up either with vishaka🤢 or Radhika after she got cured from her burns ..I always had the feeling that they wanted to bring a pregnancy track soon but for some reason or the other it got scratched off and postponed it till 5 years leap.

Thanks Yamuna for liking the VMs.

Yes, it was very clear from the beginning that some sort of property issue was related to the heir. But then they got busy with making Vishaka the stalker and then brought Shantanu for the same purpose and then it was repeated with Kanika. So instead of some interesting tracks, they ended up with the "other woman" theme again and again. Of course after the fire track, I suspected the "other woman" track even for pregnancy track. They had shown Radhika getting hurt in her stomach during the fire. So was thinking that maybe Vishaka would be brought for that purpose. At least we were spared of that even though one-night stand track came close to it too.
Love is in the air was also great to watch!!! Radev SR and when Dev and RAdhika are snugging with each otehr near the fire 😳Such a cute scene , went perfectly with the song 😊
Thanks Angie for the lovely Vm's!! enjoyed them a lot!

You are welcome. That scene was very cute where they showed that Dev and Radhika were feeling physically attracted to each other and were restraining themselves with some effort. CB1 had a lot of scenes between Dev and Radhika because these two characters remained the main ones throughout the show. It was in the second half of CB2 that they messed up.

Don't want to impose ..but ... can I request you to make a vm on Tera Hua song with Radev from choti bahu1 ..Please 😳

Yamuna, Maya also requested a VM on this song. You are not imposing as it is good to get suggestions as I sometimes tend to make VMs on one type of songs. Now scenes have come to my mind for this song and they are from CB1.

Maya/Yamuna, this VM is for you based on the song "Tera hua" from Avi's "teri meri love stories" telefilm. I have used the full version of the song loaded by its music composer Vicki Hardik.

This VM uses the first 10-12 episodes of CB1. Though I had seen parts of these episodes in VMs, I had never seen full episodes before. But I was impressed with the early characterization of Radhika by the writing team that was replaced later on. Radhika of these episodes was not the mahaan character of second year, but was instead a complex character who was very human. She felt normal emotions like joy, hurt and had her insecurities because of abuse she suffered at the hands of Shastri family. Even Shastriji was not the perfect father he was depicted later on. He also did not treat Radhika equally as Vishaka. Even for him, Radhika was the charity case rather than an adopted daughter. I wonder how they would have shown the disclosure of "big truth" if this writing team (story concept, dialogue writer, screen writer) had remained intact. I suspect it would have been better than what was shown.

The title of this VM is "Spring of Love". The title is taken from two sources - one is from a comedy by Shakespeare and other is from the poem of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I have given this title because Dev was completely infatuated with Radhika at this point. Both have compared that feeling of love with spring that may not last for ever. It was not true for Dev, but that spring of love was gone because of atrocities of Amma, Devki and Vishaka.

The poems are as follows:

It is not Always May - By Henry Wadworth Longfellow

THE sun is bright,—the air is clear,
The darting swallows soar and sing,
And from the stately elms I hear
The blue-bird prophesying Spring.

So blue yon winding river flows,
It seems an outlet from the sky,
Where waiting till the west wind blows,
The freighted clouds at anchor lie.

All things are new ;—the buds, the leaves,
That gild the elm-tree's nodding crest,
And even the nest beneath the eaves ;—
There are no birds in last year's nest !

All things rejoice in youth and love,
The fulness of their first delight !
And learn from the soft heavens above
The melting tenderness of night.

Maiden, that read'st this simple rhyme,
Enjoy thy youth, it will not stay ;
Enjoy the fragrance of thy prime,
For O ! it is not always May !

Enjoy the Spring of Love and Youth,
To some good angel leave the rest ;
For Time will teach thee soon the truth,
There are no birds in last year's nest !

The Two Gentlemen of Verona (I, iii, 84-87) - Shakespeare

Proteus:
"O, how this spring of love resembleth
The uncertain glory of an April day;
Which now shows all the beauty of the sun,
And by and by a cloud takes all away."

AMAZING!!!👏 Truly the perfect scenes for the song !! Im truly in love with this Vm Thank you Thank you Thank you soo much Angie for this wonderful Vm😃 , the scenes were so cute . Reminds me the initial days of choti bahu when I used to watch it on/off . The only thing I liked about it initially was Radhika's innocence and beauty .I never saw such beautiful actress on Tv before ,Rubina was perfect for her role ..I initially didn't connect o Dev but once his emotions started coming It clicked! He became more and more admirable. The other thing is the bride swap that left me completely in shock! I never knew such thing ever existed in dramas. 😲 I missed 4 months of choti bahu and tried catching up with every single episode during my summer of 2009 .I tried to look for the episode when Dev find out that Radhika was his bride but that episode didn't exist yet! 😆

I agree with you when it was time for the biggest truth to come out the "creatives"people completely ruined it! They could have shown a track where Dev is upset and angry at Radhika ...He could have had so many flashbacks and connect the dots ..There was one line that I still remember from Radhika ..Jise kabhie paaya nahi ,,use kodena ka kya daar? (Why are you scared to loose me when I was never yours) . Radhika was his wife ...she was his ...she belonged to him from day 1 ..If Dev found out the truth and recalled her words he would have felt betrayed in a way ..

A intense and emotional confrontation between Radhika and Dev could have been amazing especially with Avina great acting ..Also confrontation of Radev with Vishaka would have also been interesting ...Dev furious at vishaka for snatching away RAdhika's right on the day of the wedding ... .and then focus on the family's reaction towards the marriage truth ... ...The creatives had a chance to play around with that big truth and squeeze out so many emotions from every character in the show ...especially Dev and RAdhika , Shastrijee, Devki, Dadima etc ... The whole wedding truth could have taken at least 1 1/2month with every aspect taken account. . .They have missed so many opportunities that get me so frustrated every time I think about it!

Sorry for writing such a long post ...you mentioned the "big Truth " I can go on and on about this topic . ..so many missed opportunities get me soo angry! but what can we do ..whats past is past ..Just hope the best for Avina for there next project 😊

Angie liked your VM. Radhika and Dev in the beginning of CB1 were all about innocence. It was actually Radhika who reeled me into CB1 and made me watch the show. Dev came much later on. There was something in her that intrigued me. The original writers of CB1 did a brilliant characterisation of Radhika...she was a mixture of innocence, poignancy ...somehow I used to find her as someone who is althougha member of this family but yet is not...she was an outsider who is standing who is just watching. I am not writing about Radhika in the later part of CB1 but Radhika in the first year, specially during the first 6 months.

As for Shastriji...I always thought that he expected perfection from Radhika and this is what Radhika was afraid of...falling down in her fathers eyes and in some way loosing that love, a love which might not have been perfect father's love but a love that in some way did stand up to amma's actions and behaviour and to certain extent the society too. As for the charity case...I didn't see that in Shastriji, to me he was a very traditional, conservative father who probably believed that one should not openly stand up to elders however wrong they are...maybe to him that would have been disrespecting his mother. Shastriji did question amma but he should have done more, which maybe his upbringing and beliefs stopped him from doing so. ...He in his own way tried to protect Radhika but he did not have the courage to openly rebel. He did stop Radhika's remarriage to Keshav when she said that she is already married to Kanha, he did stand up against society then but he never stood up against society when Radhika was not allowed to enter the temple. So as a father I used to find his as a very very weak father, but I also found him very real because people like him do exists in India. Actually there are many families that are like this, where questioning elders and openly pointing out their mistakes is still looked down upon because people think that it shows disrespecting the elders.

Thanks, Chalhov. Now that Zee has loaded all episodes of CB1 on youtube, I was able to get certain scenes and also was able to watch those earlier episodes. The innocence of Dev & Radhika matched with the lyrics of this song. Those were really nice episodes. Can see why this show became such a hit from the very beginning.

Yamuna, thanks. I wanted to use those initial episodes because that early attraction of Radhika and Dev towards each other was fit for this song. I especially liked that Nidhivan episode because there is so much innocence on both's parts. Radhika in her innocence is telling Dev not to enter the temple as she has those innocent beliefs. Dev is not even listening to her words as he is just so fascinated with her. Both looked very nice in that scene.

I too was initially drawn by Radhika's character even though I did not see these earlier episodes. Dev's character attracted me later on from Haridwar episode onwards and from the time he stood up against discrimination. I only watched selected back episodes such as wedding episodes. Now I have watched those initial episodes and I really like how Radhika's character was portrayed in the beginning.

There were so many incidents where Radhika in her obligations made Dev suffer and called Vishaka Dev's wife repeatedly. Even if she did it because of emotional blackmail Devki used to do on her, I expected that her payback would be emotional distance from Dev. Even if Radhika was an abused person and did so many things because of that, they should have shown Dev feeling betrayed and hurt. That is the difference I see in soaps that stay on top even after two years. They may not have the best stories or characters, but they close all loopholes and give emotional closure.

I agree with you on this. The ratings fell after Vishaka was kicked out and the same happened with CB2 after Barkha was exposed. The reason is that viewers felt cheated with the way the track was handled. The so called creatives considered that viewers wanted to see the "other woman" . So we got Kanika in CB1 and Radha/Madhavi/Ruby in CB2.

If they had remained true to Dev's character, he would have blasted Devki and Amma along with Vishaka on what they did to Radhika. Before that they could have shown at least two episodes showing Dev's hurt at Radhika. It needed to be longer, but even if we had got few episodes on confrontation between Dev and Radhika where Radhika could have been shown to realize error of her ways. Afterwards, I expected Dev to disclose everything including RP puja truth to his family and then taking Devki/Amma to task for their crimes. They never showed any disclosure of Devki/Amma trying to break Radhika's marriage. Dev should have been shown to be furious that they tried to force his wife to marry another guy knowing fully well she was married. Devki/Amma did it twice and it was only Radhika who stood firm and Shastriji supported her.

If they had remained true to Dadi's character, she should have been shown to take Amma/Devki to task too because they made Dev suffer so much and they brought so much scandal to RPfamily as well as did all sort of adharams in the guise of dharam.

Then finally they brought down Shastriji who put Radhika/Devki/Amma in the same category and accepted Amma/Devki back on a flimsy pretext. I liked his character as weak as he was until they showed him not protesting Amma's stay at Radhika's home.

Sorry for writing such a long post ...you mentioned the "big Truth " I can go on and on about this topic . ..so many missed opportunities get me soo angry! but what can we do ..whats past is past ..Just hope the best for Avina for there next project 😊

Yes, they did this both in CB1 and CB2. Then these creatives used to get mad when viewers blasted them. I did notice in earlier episodes that even the dialogue writer was different from the one who came later on. There was definitely depth to all characters especially to Radhika's character that was gone later on. I also wish that Avina get better opportunities where their talent can be shown.
