For 12 long years Maheshwari pulled wool over everyone s eyes and was supposed to be good person who cared about every member of the family and took control of even Muthh which ran efficiently , no complain was from that quarter ...Then why she is shown to be foolish and going on digging holes for herself ...she can very well counter Barkha as she is the only one in the family who knows her intentions and her deeds ...Now Barkha has attacked his son , so should also be awakened from her sleep as i think Kanha did yesterday ...

Neerja Maheshwari was successful during those 12years because there was no one who questioned her authority. The muth and the people in charge there are very society conscious...I mean they are very conscious about a persons standing in the society. The muthadhessh was ready to accept Virat as RP even though he knew about Virats bad habits...why? just because he is a Purohit. The same muthadheesh was ready to see Dev being insulted in front of him ...the muthadheesh knew what Dev is all about but still he was ok with Dev being insulted just because Dev is adopted or he thought that Dev was adopted and the one abusing him was Rohan or the supposed to be heir apparet. For the same reason the muthadheesh was ready to raise finger at the Vaid but not Barkha...so these people never thought about questioning Maheswari because although she is not a good administrator but still she is the eldest DIL of the purohits and she is saying that dada appointed her so who are they to question. So even though she might have made mistakes they kept quiet.
At home dai cannot question because she is a servant ...dai can question if dada or Dev are in power, otherwise not. As for Padma she is very insecure and Padma most probably chose to remain quiet. She is getting a place to stay and her son Rohan is getting all the attention. So I don't think it is to Maheshwari's credit that she managed to rule ...she managed to rule because others let her. Maheshwari herself is very reactive and she usually rushes in without having a back up plan. That is why she fails again and again...she also brags a lot and hence unknowingly tends to warn the opponent so that they become careful. That is why she digs holes for herself and then falls in them. Although she does have brains, she does not use it the right way because she is ruled by her ego.
Extra added...on the other hand Barkha can also get flustered and is over confident ...so the result of this bout will depend on how the creatives want to take the story forward.
