Radhika is having misguided guilt and also she has this immense love for Dev. So she wouldn't give up Dev for anything or anybody but would give him up if it implies him getting recognition and status in the society. Also she knows that Dev loves Dada a lot and the truth is that RP loves Dev a lot too regardless of his hypocrisy and manipulation. So she doesn't want to be the reason to drive a wedge between the two. Now this is another thing that she has come between them no matter what decision she takes ( to accept Dev or to leave him). The only way this would now be resolved is if Dada realizes his mistakes.
Anyway, coming back to Radhika I don't have problems with her behavior as she would have behaved like this once she realized that she may jeopardize Dev's future. It is the dialogues I have problems with when they give her dharam, duty, family, society type dialogues in the privacy. She is only doing this for Dev and to some extent for Dada because since Dev loves Dada, so does she. If the society, dharam, family had mattered she wouldn't have accepted the marriage to Dev happily when Barkha lied that Dada has given his approval. Dada's approval implies to her that Dev's position would be safe. That is very true as RP is an influential person and can make society accept Radhika. His irrational fears and ego are making him take this wrong decision.
Now Radhika's actions are similar to Dev's actions who was also making decisions on behalf of Radhika based on his misguided obligations. He got out of them when he realized the true colors of Rohan. He would have still sacrificed Radhika for Dada if he hadn't found out the truth about his parents. So his love remains for RP, but his obligations have gone out. Now he is fighting for Radhika.
I didn't have problem with Dev's actions either as it went with his character at that time. My problem was again with the lack of scenes he was given where they could show his struggle or introspection. Then I had problems when they didn't give him any scene realizing his mistakes. Instead gave him one line here and there.
So Radhika is now doing exactly what Dev was doing before. That time Radhika was fighting Dev and here Dev is fighting Radhika. Of course there are characters like Dada too whom Dev is fighting just as there was Rohan whom Radhika was fighting on her own. I am ok with this fight. My problem again is when they have inserted Barkha in the scenes with Dev where suddenly Barkha is the fighter and Dev is a passive participant.
As far as selfishness is concerned, people do become selfish when they become fanatic about a cause. Dada has become extremely selfish. Dev was also selfish to some extent as he used Radhika to pay his debts. Now same with Radhika. Her only concern is Dev and if Dev and Barkha have to be sacrificed (marrying Dev even though neither Barkha nor Dev wants it), then so be it.
Not even sure if selfishness is the right word for Dev and Radhika either. It is probably that they end up doing injustice to the ones they love for their cause. Also Dev and Radhika are not like Dada. Dada has ego while these two do not.
Today's episode was interesting and I hope they give Dev finally the scene tommorrow that he deserves. Tomorrow should be his and Dada's duel. But not sure if Barkha would be kept out of the mix as she is now shown to be more powerful than Dev.
