Radhika had no choice. A girl's character is fragile... and society is unforgiving. The fact that she was strong enough to sacrifice the love that she and Dev shared, showed her immense character...
Dev's decision to leave everything for the sake of Radhika shows another principle ... that he valued the purity of the love that Radhika and he shared over that of position and power.
We must realise that Dev is new to the concept of being Rajpurohit... although he lived in the RP household, it was under the shadow of a "servant" or worker.
To my mind, if we have to lay blame... we must place it under Rajpurohit aka Dadaji. He has in his power to call a meeting of all necessary groups and to explain the true story. He knows the purity of Radhika. After Radhika made her decision to leave Dev... he also has seen the strength of her character...he would be hard put to find a replacement (if he was thinking straight)...he should know that Bharka cannot hold a candle to Radhika... a person can be lively and funny but it does not make her suitable to be the RPtein.
