According to me, this declaration of Barkha will make Dev alert and disgusted and then we can see the much awaited face off between Dadaji and Dev.
According to me, the story has been hinted this way.
There will be abig drama on 21st Aug where the marriage of RaDev will be put off and Barkha announces she would marry DEV and so a 2nd date will be announced. Dev would get angry with Barkha where as she would fall for him and get negative (as hinted in Rohan and Barkha's conversation, WATCH 10/8/11 episode). She may also join hands with Rohan and thus resulting in getting him back to PB.
Dev and Dadaji may have an awaited face-off where he may question him on various accounts. And finally Dev may accept his childhood marriage and bring that out to stop all this melodrama as that was a very important marriage which done due to Kanha's interests.
The core of the story is DEV WILL NOT MARRY BARKHA.
