Anu, this is one of the mainstream sholaks and yet they cannot get it right. But sholak is a far away thing when the story or characters are not consistent from one day to another. If they can remove the important scenes (editing Radhika protesting allegations against Dev or visiting him after he returned home wounded mentally and physically), can you expect them to get sholaks right?

Angie: You are so right. This is one of the popular and widely known Sholka. Even some kids know this. And they made the mess. Why not do some research at least? But what I am expecting from them. As you correctly pointed out, when they are not even consistent with story and character, expecting them to get sholk right is little too much I guess.

Yes. the shlok was incorrect. I really feel sorry for all the actors in this show because they are doing a fantastic job of portraying whatever the act or dialogue given to them but there future is at stake with this kind of crap.Tthe writers, editors and directors are doing a very poor job. Many times viewers are left to fill in the blanks between the episodes and wonder whatever happened to some characters in the story. CB2 story line is very good. If done properly it could become a great hit.

Thanks PjB1. Yes, they have very good cast and the actors are doing fantastic job. But the story, the actors and their future and the audience are taken for granted by the creatives. As Why6 and Misti pointed out, if they can mess with the story itself, expecting them to get sholks right is little too much. Yes, the story and cast has great potential. Wish they knew what they have in their hand...

Thanks Anu for the story. Loved reading it.

Yes the shloka did seem incorrect...i was busy in attending something and couldn't listen properly, whatever i did hear seemed wrong. But then brushed off as my inattentiveness. Seems it was wrong afterall.

This shloka is a very popular one and a very used one at that. Majority of the people including kids know how to recite it properly. Making mistake in this sholk is not acceptable as it is so widely known! Even without any research, the team should have been able to produce the proper one! What do they think, audience are fools?

Thanks Sia. Glad you liked the story. I was watching it on TV and it caught my attention, the very first time. Then, just like you, I thought, I heard it incorrectly. I went back and heard the sholk again where it became quite evident. You are quite right, even many kids know how to recite this. Actors are just doing their job, but the creatives and editors and research team need to their work. I am really surprised that no one either on their team nor on Zee team notices these mistakes.

Hi Harianjana, Good to hear that you chant this sholk since you were so young. As I mentioned earlier, it is NOT Rubi's mistake. She is doing a good job. It is writer and CVs and editors who are being careless.

Anu they are playing with characters, they are removing important scenes of the leads which gives a logical flow to the story, so what is stopping them to play with Shlokas..

Misti: You nailed it. Yes, when they are inconsisent with the story, characters, why am I even surprised that they are playing with Sholk. Another joke yesterday was Padma being referred to as Yashoda maiyya...Do these CV's even know the bond Kanha shared with Maiyya? They don't seem to have an inkling about it...They try to show that this is spiritual love story where the main lead's love is blessed and protected by Kanha, yet they cannot even get the popular sholk recite. I don't even know why I am surprised, when they showed that ardent devotee can get burnt on the most important day of her life, when they take their talented actors for ride, what big deal is it, when they play with sholk??

Anu..The SHLOK recited by Radhika was horribly wrong...first of all it I will blame the writer and director who had given the Shloka to Radhika and top of it She has not done justice at all...one can see simply she was fumbling and not comfortable at all..and what was the point of giving the shloka?..is it cos she is a Kanha devotee? they cudhv given her a simple Mantra..''Om Namoh Bhagwate Vasudevaay'' Or ''Om Shri Krishnaaya Namah''...it is not necessary that all the devotees are well versed in sanskrit or all are Gyani or knowledgable...Look at Gopis, Shabri, Prahlad..etc...She brutally changed the meaning of a divine Shloka of Shri Vishnu..CVS should think twice before giving the divine Shlokas or Mantras to the artists so that they atleast recite properly and not make the mockery of it..
Another I dont like about these shows that on slight pretext they compare themself with the Supreme Power i.e Krishna..or Lord Shiva, comparing Padma with Yashoda maiyya was a big insult or a joke..What Padma had done that she is compared with Yashoda?..she never trusted or had faith in Dev...and she never tried to find out the truth...CVs think that by comparing characters with Divine beings there trps will remain high...
And I would like to correct the word..it is SHLOK or SHLOKA and not SHOLK as it is mentioned in most of the posts...
