very good analysis of each and every character and how creatives have played with them especially with Dev's character. At least keep the characters of your leads consistent. But then they did it with Radhika after the six months and then again on and off in the second year of CB1. I used to be happy that at least Dev was the only consistent character in CB1 but they ruined him the most in the end. The only difference is that it did not happen in the first few months until CB1 got established. Here they are doing it from the end of second week onwards.
I wish the channel and PH can read this analysis and realize their stupidity. But probably nothing will penetrate their thick skulls until this management remains. CB is just a cash cow for them and nothing else.
As far as Dev confiding in Rohan is concerned, they are doing it because probably they are not sure of Rohan's characterization either. So if they want to show him more a nicer guy, he would be shown to realize Dev's feelings for Radhika by correlating it to that girl with a blue chunri.
The problem is the execution of everything and bad pre-planning. They had to know beforehand that Maheswari would be shown pushing down Dadaji and taking control. So one way was to show her as greedy but coldly manipulative from the beginning where she is shown biding time and everyone is unaware of her true nature. Then they could have shown Dadaji accidentally finding out about her intentions and hence his desire to change his will (something similar to CB1 where Dev's father finds out about Arjun). Then Maheswari could have shown planning his murder before he signed up everything but only being successful in crippling him.
Or they show what you have written several times. Show that there is a simmering resentment against her in the religious places but people are not protesting outright because she has replaced the upper management with her own priests who are loyal to her. Or that people were unhappy with her handling but have now become satisfied ever since Dev was given incharge of Mutts etc. But they still state that Dev brought the change. That in fact would make it easier to be accepted as RP when the time comes. A woman who was stingy about a measly wheat bag would have to show her small mindedness in other donations and people have to figure that out. As you said, show that Padma and Amma are still skeptical about it because either they are not sure or one is a widow with no powers and another one is a servant whose intention is to protect Dev. They can show that Padma is ok with Maheswari choosing a girl for Rohan because she herself wants a quiet conservative girl who can straighten out Rohan. But in her heart she is questioning Maheswari's motives but is silent about it.
Dev of Friday who is aloof from everyone including Rohan is more understandable, but they are doing it for wrong reasons and hence not sure of his future treatment. In any case, the story has not moved forward too much and there is still time to improve the script and salvage the show. But I have doubts based on what DJs and Zee have been doing for one of their other joint project.
