Ahh those arrows....I still find them fascinating. I remember that I used to drive my dadi up the wall......I was not interested in the story of Ramayana when they used to show it on DD, was just interested in the arrows, so used to do my own stuff in another room but as soon as I would hear the noise of the battle, I would run in the sitting room and stand in front of the TV and watch the arrows in fascination .........and then again run out again. That used to drive my dadi mad and it used to happen every time the war scenes used to be shown.😉😆😆 Misti, I can imagine you doing that. That is so funny. I used to love them when they started showing it because it was the first time in TV history, then got irritated with the repetitions and now find them very amusing just because my nephew sits with rapt attention while watching them. He won't answer anybody when he is watching those arrows even if someone screams near his ear.I watched Bhootnath today.......and enjoyed it a lot. While watching it realised that it is an adaptation of Oscar Wildes short story The Canterville Ghost. Like all Wildes stories it is a satire and this time the satire was based on the clash of cultures.....American and English. Basically an American family comes to England and starts living in a old English home with the resident ghost who is the owner of the house. The ghost tries every trick possible to drive them away but the American family do not pay him any attention and deal with his antics in a very practical way......only the daughter of the family does not treat him like a joke and listens to him.I liked Bhootnath too even though the reviews were average about the movie. But sometimes reviewers tend to take themselves too seriously. I liked the actor who played Banku. I have not read much Oscar Wilde. I have only read "The Importance of Being Ernest" and liked it a lot especially Oscar Wilde's disdain for the snobbery of upper class English people. Now I will try to read this story you mentioned. I like Oscar Wilde's style from the limited stuff I have read.
