Or just get the guy to sign an iron clad contract laying off b'wood dreams!

i think all TV producers should do this now! that there should be a clause in the contract that says the actors get penalized HUGELY if they either try to juggle b'wood movie with show OR leave the show for a movie (meaning within 2 yrs of leaving show cannot do movie, etc..)!
there will be male leads who will sign this and they should from now on take it as a lesson and do it! the ones who don't want to sign can be allowed to find auditions elsewhere n get real committed people on board for the shows!
cz i am sure there r more prospective and hopeful n talented, good looking men around than there r lead roles. so this shouldn't be too hard to get done!

less headache for producers, us n the female leads too! 🥱

I think it is a good idea Sunara.. If the producers can get them to sign a contract for atleast two years then I think it will be good for everyone.. What I don't understand is why is it always the male actors who complain about working long hours.. Why are the female actors doing? Laying eggs?

if they sure that the show gonna be a big hit for more than 1 year than that maybe a good step... but if it's something that sound 'chhan chhan' than that don't make any sense...

lol.. n the best part is if an episode is 22 minutes. even in a love story which uses max time for male leads, male lead will be on air for max 12 mins.
female lead will be on air for 18-20 mins, either with the male lead or with supporting cast. u can measure this n see this is the average amount.
so the females definitely shoot for even more hours, n yet they r committed..

anyway as I said there r more men wanting roles than there r roles available. so out of those wannabees there is bound to be enough who would sign such contracts. so i guess the PH's should really pull this off now!

i mean ones who r already stars will have leverage to not sign. but all the new ones will sign anything! and if its so iron clad they will have to stick to it till the bitter end!!

no there r get out clauses. see if the show goes off air a contract automatically becomes null n void. so this is not an issue!
the clause should be to 'as long as the show is on air'. its really possible to draw up legal contracts with attention to detail!

i don't know but i heard he got very bad health issues... that's why he don't want to work for TV series at the moment... for years also maybe.. but not sure maybe that just some romours n he might consider this show if he got the offer...
