To Team Chhanchhan ... thank you for this show, an attempt to take up the age-old saas bahu sagas and give them a different, modern spin, and show realistically how a modern girl would try to tackle the delicate relationships with her in-laws in a sensible intelligent way, while keeping her own values and beliefs intact. Thank you for showing that a girl can stand up for herself in her new home and not keep crying all the time. Thanks for showing realistically how a mother-in-law does have problem letting go the reins of her house and especially letting go of her sons .. a very common problem in most Indian families even today. The show could have been better written and better planned, that would have made a big difference to the end product, but it was a show that brought up a number of real problems and dealt with them in a very different way. It brought a smile to my face while watching every night. There was never too much negativity and what there was, was quickly overcome by the positivity in the show. Chhanchhan was a show that was ahead of its time in many ways.
Anuj Sachdeva, thanks for taking up the role of Manav and making the character loveable and real. You are responsible for allowing the viewers of Chhanchhan to enjoy the love story and the cute adorable pair of ChhanMan.
Supriya Pathak, you suffered from poor writing and poor characterization of Umaben at the start of the show, but it was a treat to watch you on screen, especially in your confrontations with Chhanchhan.
To the rest of the cast, thank you for living your roles so well. It was a pleasure to watch everyone on screen. Special mention to the actors who played Manthan and Ranjana, two quirky characters who livened up the show and brought some spice into it. I would have loved to see the Manthan track in more detail if the show wasn't wrapping up. Also thanks to the actors who played Chhanchhan's Dadi, and Manav's Dadaji, two of the most adorable grandparents on screen.
Sanaya ... the actress for whom I watched Chhanchhan, the actress for whom I've watched the last three TV shows I have watched ... and will continue to follow ... a special message to you.
It takes courage to go against the norm, to follow your heart ... courage and a special kind of self-confidence, which you seem to have in spades. Your acting talent is what made me your fan ... and your talent, your love and enthusiasm for your work, which translates onto screen, is what keeps me hooked to you and your shows. You make me smile and feel good when I see you on screen, my day is incomplete unless I have watched you for that half an hour every single day. I loved watching you as Chhanchan, and I really appreciate your attempt to do something different in each show you do. I am sure there are many more opportunities out there waiting for you, and I will be waiting impatiently to see you back on screen in the near future.
Thanks V, for taking the initiative to do this 😃
