I have agreed that the each one's discussion of the other through the media is not comparable. Trying to find any equivalence is a pointless exercise.

I was responding to your point about Sanaya being a true professional - In my view, had she not discussed his acting skills at all or responded to his outburst, she would have truly fit that description in this case.

My point is more about her than him because almost everyone on this Forum is a fan of Sanaya; she is important to them and they all wish the best for her.
Farhan is out of the show and soon will stop being discussed.

When Dheeraj said Sanaya admonished them for making fun of Farhan, he was trying to defend her. He also mentioned that Farhan got offended when Sanaya tried to help him. Shouldn't a new guy in the profession take this in his stride and learn instead of getting offended? Anyone would make fun of a person who was bad to start with, doesn't want to learn from a senior and doesn't improve with time.

"He is new and does not know how to handle publicity" ---
SO does he get to insinuate that the co-star did not like him, that the fans expected to see something like IPK, that he was being compared to Barun and get away with all this?

In a new office you will get attacked only because you did not do your work right -- not because you did not get along with the popular girl or boy. In fact trying to get along too much to cover up for bad work might result in a sexual harassment case.

Sanaya is not a saint and has never claimed to be one. In fact she has herself stressed in the past that she is just a human being and need not be idolized. Not everyone has to adore Sanaya. Agreed. But implying that her reserved behavior was one of the reasons for his quitting was not in good taste.

Farhan might have been hurt for being replaced. Didn't he bring this on himself? Did he once stop and think if he was ready for the role of a male lead? Didn't such an educated man know his own limitations? It might have been okay if he was not a great actor. But it is not okay if he is a bad one. I might not have been reading Shakespere when I was beginning to read but then I did not have people watching me for entertainment and was most definitely not being paid for it either.

You say you are not a Farhan fan but a Sanaya fan. But sadly your post implies the contrary.

I don't have time to address the whole post because I am trying to respond to many others. But, I bolded what stood out to me.

1. Try working on Wall Street. The popular boys in particular determine your fate from day 1. You obviously come from a more fair system. But that's how it works in many places.

2. I made just two posts on this forum. This and the other, criticizing Farhan and his acting. But I do stand up for the underdog when he/she is attacked by hounds and mobs. That I own up to.

3. A new person in a profession or senior person, everyone has dignity. If the public disparages him like this constantly, especially by reaching out to him, he will react. It's human. So would Sanaya if people did anything to offend her. Oh, that reminds me, she's not too fond of crazy fans either. Said so herself in an interview with Gul.

Ok this is completely off the topic and not related to it at all, but I had to say this!

Actually in this case Rima, you might have just nailed it right 😆

Have you seen most of the stuff that the "masses" come up with up? 😊 Anything honestly would be superior!

The complete blind adoration of stars, inability to separate reel from real, getting personal and vicious, mixing up reel and real characters, rushing in like the RSS brigade to attack anyone who has an opposing viewpoint - all of this irrespective of the forum - if it doesn't reek of lack of intellectual and emotional development, then what does?

Its not about the intellectual superiority of an opposing viewpoint, its about the maturity and the relevance and veracity of a mass hysterical view.

But hey, everyone looks at it through their viewpoint, so each to his own!

Anyways apologies topic maker cos its not related but in my defence, the temptation was just too great! :-))

He wouldn't take advice cause his ego was affected, ignored the well-wisher and who knows what, well-wisher feels hurt and decides to leave the egoist with his own pride. Egoist feels ignored, tries to woo the wellwisher back. Well-wisher doesn't care anymore and realises its best to keep everything just professional. Egoist's pride is hurt. On top of that he is not accepted professionally. So like a wounded animal he decides to take out his frustration on the most probable victim, the well-wisher who also hurt his EGO. It is a well known fact, that an egoist forgets the 100 good things done by people but remembers the one thing that hurt his pride. So he does what he did. That way he gets his revenge and more exposure too.

WHAT A SHAME...This behaviour is totally despicable. I hope never to come across such a person in my life.

That is a lot to know about a person without actually knowing them. The TV celeb I have spent most time on is someone I eventually got to have some interactions with but I still can't claim that I know him. This is an actor for a very old soap.

You may have forgotten in the sway of the wave but I haven't forgotten you from IPK. You used to comment lively on my stories. Disappointed in you now.

i was wondering what was there in the article that FK was getting bashed so much.
he didnot ridicule any body which his co-actors did on the sets.. he stated what he felt.

the senior actors in the show were the newcomers at one point in their career. ridiculing the newcomer didnot speak good of them. side actor deeraj, is all set for publicity.

Thank you! Agree with everyone you said.

not bullying an actor
unlike some who bullied an actor months after he left the show

I ended up on this forum after reading Farhan's interview and then saw your post. I have a thing for the underdog so couldn't help comment :-))

First of all, very sensible and well thought out post.

Second, while I really enjoy watching Sanaya Irani, I do happen to hear courtesy plenty of journalists friends who cover television that the actress has airs. Without exception all of them who did interviews on the IPKKND sets, had only one thing to say - Barun is a really nice, chilled out humble guy while madam has lots of airs! So she may not be as innocent in all of this as she is being made out to be.

Even if that was the case, I don't think Farhan has been nasty or rude or taken off on her. I cant see anything terrible in what he said.

The truth of the matter is that there would be comparisons with Barun and maybe the guy is not as good an actor (the two episodes that I saw had just one scene with him and he was ok) and he would suffer for it. That sucks!

I am glad Sanaya is maintaining silence on this. I wish their other co-stars would take a leaf out of her book. If they laughed at the guy cos he was floundering, it speaks volumes for the kind of people they are and he is better off being outside the show!

Thanks for the inside look. I don't know either of them, so I kept to my observation. I did think Sanaya was keeping her silence but not according to her recent takes. Wish she was quiet on the whole. Would have served her better.

Must ditto that. In the real world, the popular boy or girl does, to a large extent and especially in the initial stages, determine your acceptance into a workplace and how well you fare!

A place where this doesn't happen is Utopia and that unfortunately, is only a figment of Thomas More's imagination! :-))

I would take both TC articles on FK and Sanaya with a big bag of salt. I doubt the veracity of anything they are putting out now.
