Chhanchhan to be made to appear as Umaben

It's an age old technique- the parent feigns to be seriously ill to prevent their child from marrying someone they vehemently oppose to. The same is currently happening on Sony TV's Chhanchhan (Optymystix). Umaben (Supriya Pathak) is pretending that she is on her death bed as her son Manav (Farhan Khan) loves and wants to be with Chhanchhan. He will be made to feel unduly guilty. Afraid that his mother will actually die if he goes ahead and marries Chhanchhan, he will resolve to say no to her. His mom insists that he can only marry a woman she chooses for him.

Manav's friend Himanshu (Dheeraj Miglani) and his love interest Simple (Charu Asopsa) will think of a plan to appease Umaben and also to help Chhanchhan tie the knot. They try to make it appear to Umaben that Chhanchhan is indeed her ideal bride.

They arrange for a meeting of Chhanchhan with Umaben at an orphanage where latter does volunteer work. A friend indeed is a friend in need and Himanshu is surely one of them.

Farhan told us, "Manav will be heartbroken that Chhanchhan is the girl his mom hates. He will wonder how he will ever convince his mom to give her nod to marry her. I really don't know if there will be a marriage in future or not. If there is a marriage though I guess it will either be a court, temple or arranged marriage."
