I am a Sanaya fan and am watching the show because she is in it. I am not Indian but my best friend is and I watch the show with her. Her mother explains a lot of social issues/behaviors shown here. The novelty here, while not new, is that the approach is more realistic and relatable to reality. We have a liberal family and another family still living in the age old handed down family structure. My interest is in seeing how the PH shows a liberal minded, today's girl with her own principles tackle the issue of loving a man who has a mother still opposed to changes. It is also nice to see two happy people; Chhanchhan and Manav meet and fall in love. The show is light and refreshing. It's still new, let's see what happens in the future.
I like Sanaya, respect her choice of what she wants to do. I will watch the show if it continues to interest me. If it doesn't I will watch something else. But, I will still love Sanaya and follow her and wait for her next project.
Additionally, I think Chhanchhan is a confident disciplined girl with her own set of values.. She is neither an introvert nor an over zealous character. She thinks logically and approaches situations in a methodical manner. Let's see how this works when the opposing force is a mother in law. This kind of situation is faced by many young couples and families'not just Indian.
Again, not a new concept, but I like the way it is being shown here thus far and wait to see how it is shown in the future.
