Also the truth is, in desi TV, the male characters are better written when it comes to love stories and almost all dramas have better written women characters and usually very poorly written male characters.

Agree completely with you DiyaS. Comparisons are odious of the leads/show/story. We need to treat this as a different story (maybe cliched to some ) and watch it with an open mind ...we will really enjoy it then...

I guess they will position the marriage to be after IPL ... so that would be the extent of romance in this serial.

I've never been a fan of anyone before Sanaya and it was the straightforward nature that she showed again in both recent interviews that turned me into one. I love the way she is able to address questions about her previous show head on. She acknowledges that for a lot of people the intensity of her onscreen chemistry with her previous co star is a once in a lifetime event and she again acknowledges his talent. She didn't try to cover up for Farhan but just said he's inexperienced. No matter how much I loved her previous show I'm ready for questions related to it to end. I am so glad that Sanaya is getting the chance to work with someone of the calibre of Supriya Pathak because no matter how good anyone is there is always more to learn. Sanaya is an intelligent actress and I'm sure she'll take this opportunity to hone her skills. I'm excited to see the forthcoming interactions between the two ladies. I understand that the show is maily about UB-Sanaya but I was hoping that this show would be a little different in that the ML's role would be more than just a prop between the two females. I'm enjoying the show for the family drama aspect but I would like to see more romance simply because Sanaya doing romance makes me feel all nice and gooey😃 .

Would love to see a Sanaya and Supriyaji interview too.

enjoyed reading all the replies...to be honest I wanted Sanaya to act in another love story as well that has more real feel to it, where the story telling is not subtle and misunderstanding get cleared quickly...and I am getting exactly that in CC😊...I am actually so glad that Sanaya signed this show, thats refreshing and has such a feel good feel that leaves us with a smile...I had promised myself to not get addicted to any other show after IPK...but I am glad that I am breaking my promise for CC😃

Loved the interview.Sanaya Irani..a lady with clarity of thought and full of positivity and confidence.Chanchan is mainly about the clash between two characters UB and CC and their ideology.
