All I see these days on the forum is negativity, negativity, and negativity. People are constantly saying how bad this show is and how Sanaya chose too fast and how Farhan is terrible at acting and all that stuff. Now, I don't have a problem with an opinion. An opinion is supposed to be shared after all, and everyone is entitled to have their own. The problem I have is with the fact that people go out of their way to come on this forum and feel the need to express their hatred for this show. If you don't like the show, don't watch it, and don't affiliate with it. It's completely different when you don't like, say, a character, or a specific track on the show. But, to dislike or hate the show in its entirety and then come on here and just shove your opinions at people is rude. Why would you even take the time to do that? There was a post made recently about how the show has become predictable. I made a comment on that thread suggesting that if you don't like it, don't watch it. But, don't waste your own time and everyone else's by completely bashing the show and labeling it as "terrible." It's off-putting and a little upsetting for people who actually watch the show to see labels like that because it gives the sense that there are people out there who truly hate the show and are spreading the word that the show is bad. That doesn't at all mean that these people are being blamed for the show's standing in terms of rating. I know, as well as everyone else must, that anyone who actually wants to watch the show/ likes the show, will find a way to watch it with or without anyone else's consent. Especially when that person is some random person on a forum. But, even as I tried to convey this message (and I admit, I may have sounded a little rude), people bashed me for suggesting that opinions are not allowed/wrong and even went so far as to say that I didn't understand the meaning of criticism and/or the word opinion. Furthermore, these people suggested that my opinion was WRONG...the same transgression they had JUST bashed me for. Now, you may all be able to see why this is frustrating to me. It's not because my opinion was bashed... it's because these people were being hypocrites. That being said, I am in NO WAY suggesting that this show is the greatest thing on television. And, yes, I mainly watch it for Sanaya. But, I'm totally giving it a chance because it has literally been on television for two weeks. TWO! And, that is not nearly enough time to make a judgment. If you don't want to watch it, don't. No one is forcing anyone to do anything. But, don't sit here and bash the show in its ENTIRETY and expect people to be ok with it. All I can say is that, while the show might not have the best there is to offer on TV right now, at least the plot is refreshing. At least, for now, the show isn't the typical saas bahu dramas. Like another viewer put it, there isn't any dupatta-flying-in-the-air romance. There isn't any 10 minute long gazes. And, yes, that was the best thing there was about Arnav and Khushi... their classic romance, their ten-minute long sultry gazes at each other, but the two shows AREN'T THE SAME. And, that's what it comes down to. Do I want gushy romance? Yes, definitely... but in its own time. For now, though, I'm willing to offer Sanaya, Farhan, and the show all of my support and give the show its chance. The modernity of this show offers something that most other shows on tv lack. So, I will continue to watch (even if not religiously), and I will continue to hope that the outcome will be good. In time, if it isn't, I will stop watching the show, without criticizing it in its entirety, and continue to live my life knowing that my show-bashing didn't allow for anyone else to form a negative opinion about the show.
Let me know what you guys think!
And, by the way, if you don't like what I have to say, kindly disagree. Don't start a war with me over the internet. This isn't a battlefield, and there doesn't need to be hostility. Supply your opinion like an adult, with maturity, and I will do the same. Don't sit there and tell me that I'm immature or don't understand something because, chances are, that you're just being a hypocrite. That being said, I meant no harm with my post. I was just trying to play devil's advocate and attempting to do my small part, whatever its worth, in giving the show a chance.
