I like dogs but I'm still scared of them when they start barking or leaping. I remember the first time I went to one of my friend's house. She has a golden retriever and beagle who actually greeted me by leaping on me. At first they scared me but I got used to them. I have another friend who has an unwelcoming dog that always barks at people yet demands attention. So I have mixed experiences with dogs, some are friendly while others are not. I've always wanted a dog so that I can get over my fear in dogs but my parents will never allow us to have pets.

My main attraction to CC apart from sanz are the dogs

Someday I plan to have my own dog

But my biggest fear is its death

as dogs have a short life

I would never be able to bear it if it dies

So I often think I wont adopt a dog...

Aww Rima, my aunt's dogs name is Jimmy as well. The dog is friendly but I still keep my distance due to fear. Also Rima, you may fear the death and loss of a dog but remember that it will have a loving home with you. There will be beautiful memories that you will share with a dog as an owner and friend. I've always wanted a dog but my parents never allowed me but hopefully when I'm more independent I can get one.

Never had any pet dogs but love dogs... I used to stay in a place where the owner of the place had 3 dogs and I got friendly with them and they with me. I used to always say hi and bye and stuff to them... the other tennants over there were scared of dogs and so these dogs usually ignore others but when I enter the house they would come to greet me and let me pat them... really missed them when I had to leave from there.

I use to have a dog back home but now here where I live Dogs isn't allow I love dogs but I'm abit scared of them nowadays.

I have the most lovely dog named Sheru, he is a German Shepherd/Lab mix. He's is the world's biggest attention seeker, when he hears someone is up, he lies on his back and spreads his legs so you will rub him. He also will not let you put on your shoes unless you pet him, he starts wrestling with your hand until you pet him and then he lets you put on your shoes. He also stalks everyone, he follows you around all the time.

I ran away from dogs.. I am scared from dogs..

When my children were born we has an older dog and this sweetheart would come and sit outside the door of which ever room the baby was in. When my children and their cousins were toddlers they would climb all over him and he would let them do whatever they wanted and when he'd had enough he would gently shake them off and leave the room. He never once so much as barked at any of the kids.
