Well portrayed!!

Yesterday we saw their 5 oaths they live by. All of them were mostly related to marriage, and most of them were towards making a successful marriage and overcoming the faults that traditions have imposed on girls..

Cz today the set of young girls we saw was taking a stand due to a reason! That shocking recollection of a past tragedy the moment Chhan Chhan heard of plans of asking for further money. that was so impactful and so aptly placed.
They are no careless or stubborn set of girl. They maybe modern but the thoughts and emotions that direct them towards their goals, their beliefs are rooted in reasonable things..

Beautifully portrayed as to how the oath they took came about! 👏

impressive storytelling.. I liked it...

Dahej/dowry is a sin.. And it HAS TO BE ERASED from the society. Because of this thing 100s of young brides suffer or die every single day!!

A very important social issue tackled well!!

Nicely put. 'Impressive storytelling' and 'A very important social issue tackled well' indeed. I liked those phrases of yours, totally apt.

I was pleasantly surprised with today's episode. Apparently, Chhan Chhan is not just a mindless comedy show about Saas vs Bahu, Male Lead vs Female Lead or Modern vs Traditional. It seems to have a blend of everything, including social issues. As you said the social issue of dowry was tackled well, atleast in today's episode. I hope they keep it up and deliver as promised.

I loved today's episode. It not just made me laugh and smile, but it also made me tear up a bit.

I agree Sunara. The scene was aptly used. The way she remembered the past after hearing about dowry was really emotional.
And I just cant see her tears 😭 I always cry whenever I see Sanaya crying be it in any of her roles.

Dowry is a sin and once if we give in to it then its gonna go on forever. 100s of young brides out there are still victims of this social evil.
I appreciate the oath the 5 of them hv taken. Every girl should be strong like them.
I hope Chhan Chhan can make the in-laws of Purvi see sense.

Great Post! I agree with all your points. 😊

I agree dowry is degrading and it should be erased from society. What really gets to me is how the mother-in-laws are the ones enforcing it. Marriage is a sacred bond and one that should be fulfill for love not for making a profit.

Agree, this a valid social issue they are showing in the show and they are taking it in the right direction by showing the girls themselves taking a stand against this social menace. It is important for society to know that todays girls are strong & independant and have a mind of their own to make decisions in their lives. In the precap I was happy to see Purvi backing away while taking the phere's when she is told abt the dhaheej.

Very true... Seeing a close friend dying due to dowry is a very painfull thing... This is wrong but still they are happening... Hope Purvi stay true to their vows and stops the marriage... It would be a huge decision for Chanchan to take a stand against it, but that is what about being Modern in true sense...

Well said, Sunara and all. The episode packed an unexpected punch ... the flashback of the tragedy gave so much depth to the vows the girls had taken yesterday. Very good story telling and a point very well made ... which needs to be repeated again and again. I was happy they touched on it yesterday ... but today it was taken further and hammered in with strength. Great going!

very good episode 👏 chhanchhan and her friends represent modern girls in a true sense cos its high time for educated young women of India to voice their opinion and take necessary steps to eradicate this pathetic tradition

Instanconnect ... loved the way you put this ... it is really high time that all educated youngsters, BOTH girls and guys, put their foot down against the menace of this custom ... which is a disgrace to our society.
