There are many possibilities:-

IJA is not Kabir's real Mom. Maybe somewhere she is related to Karan. Karan maybe her son.
IJA wants Dumbiti's money, but maybe she wants it for some good deeds, which may trump her as a 'good' assassin later in the show.

Ija is not kabir's real mom she is his step mom and chances are that she is after aditi's money hence tried to kill her and also maybe Ija tried to kill aditi by framing kabir so she can get aditi and kabir's money at the same tiime like

IJA has to be the one, this is pretty much convincing to everybody, provided the following incongruousness:-

Her relationship wid Kabir, is SO special, that it reeks of some doubts of the past.
Karan's ancestry is not known and even the circumstances in which he has become a wagging dog of the Jaiswal's in general and kabit in particular is in dark.

I find Karan's characterization, quite stereotypical, n so very damn ghatiya... always like a dumbass chamcha n sidekick... its quite sickening... dt he doesn't do anything apart from just wagging tail for Kabir and wid no emotions, expressions of SELF-ESTEEM or deed. Its so frustrating to see a sensibly dressed n matured enuf person peripherally, carried out in such a way. It just doesn't fit-in. Some frailties should be shown in Karan so that his character becomes more palatable...n convincingly so.
