A new student in class is subject to some pranks by incumbent seniors. It's no different in our telly world too. New entrant Sriti Jha (aka Sunaina Kotak of Jiya Jale) fell victim to seasoned actor Mahesh Thakur's pranks. Mahesh plays her father in Jiya Jale.


Sriti says, "I'm usually a very jovial person and one who seldom shows emotions. However, one particular day, Maheshji reduced me to tears. One day, I just happened to use his room and he got upset by this. He charged towards me and started screaming. Later, our director too joined him. It was too much to take and I broke down. Soon, they all burst into laughter."



If this is the seasoned Mahesh's modus operendi of breaking ice with newcomers then he has succeeded.

Amidst several actors who feel 'macho' and handsome sporting a beard, here is an actor who got frustrated with life and work by growing stubble for nearly twenty days! Yes, we are talking of Saurabh Pandey, who plays the lead, Chandan in Jiya Jale. It is heard that the actor had a tough time during the shoot, and felt awkward to remain without a shave for nearly three weeks.

The young lad says, "I had to restrain myself from shaving off my beard and it was very difficult for me to go on like that, but in the end, I'd do anything for my work. When the shoot was over and I got to shave my stubble, I felt so good and even got compliments for my clean look". Saurabh, we sympathise with you for sure and can say only one thing – Welcome to the crazy world of Television!!

Telly actress Mamta at 'Jiya Jale' Saurabh Pande's birthday bash, Mumbai His role of Chandan in 'Jiya Jale' on NDTV Imagine channel has won him accolades, and Saurabh had a good reason to organize a bash at the D Ultimate night club. Siddharth Basu, the Producer of the show, who attended the bash, sang 'Happy Birthday' for Saurabh, who cut his birthday cake as his wife along with his telly friends cheered for the actor. Telly actress Mamta looked pretty in a blue dress and she was there to wish good friend Saurabh. The cake sure got a bit messy as everyone smashed the cream on Saurabh's face.
