It could be just me, but I never really saw that amazing chemistry from Neil Bhatt with Ayesha. Even in their best of scenes, he always had this "nose stuck up in the air" kind of attitude. We could say it is because of the age difference too, but I've seen a few episodes of Imlie, no matter how regressive it is, the leads have much bigger difference yet they had this warmth going on in the most platonic of senses. SaiRat for me, always had this cold quality that I could never point my finger on. Virat's affection always felt out of the place, awkward and really ill timed. For a character that is supposed to show love, the actor never gave hints of it.

@bold : Oh Dear God, how did I miss this ?? If the cast are this visible with the differences, how is that show still running. I think I finally understand why the SaiRat fight and coldness scenes are legendary. It's method acting on Neil's part.

The number 2 in their TRPs gave me a weird kind of sadistic pleasure

I think they had very few scenes to establish intimacy or attraction. Initially they never showed Sai getting attracted. They never put them together in situations that made them self concious or conscious about each other.

Virat getting attracted was immediately followed by some kaand where he mishandled her. Plus the do gaj ki doori.

Once they realised that their nokjhok was being appreciated, they started only those kind of scenes, safely staying away from romantic moments. Not even romantic, just consciousness of each other. For eg: they would come down dressed together, but they never gave us scenes where he saw her getting ready or dori tying kind of scenes. Well ..one scene had him getting conscious when she came out of the bathroom and used the hair dryer. They turned it immediately into a cute scene.

Everytime I used to read about the original having a default intimate moment, I realised ghum writers made them cute moments. The spooky stories scene?? It was so disappointing! And it was over in 3 minutes flat.

So there was always a feeling of incompleteness in their scenes.

All this happens in other serials not ours.😆. if the PH was Ekta or Gul, we would've got lot of such moments. Neil and Ayesha would have had to do whatever was necessary.
