It’s been 95 days and still no charge sheet from NCB….

I thought ncb had 90 days to file a charge sheet or the case gets dropped… do we have any lawyer members here who can elaborate?

Can they still hound aryan preventing him from traveling or trying to cancel his bail when they still haven’t been able to produce a charge sheet?

I don't think charge sheets are required to be filed in 90 days unfortunately. Nothing has been filed in Rhea's case and it's been more than a year.

I assume the longer they take to file a charge sheet, Aryan's lawyers will push for bail conditions to be reduced further. The main ones that cause a lot of problems are having to give up his passport and having a gag order on him. Maybe they can push to have the case closed now that Wanker is gone. NCB maybe wants to move on also since they got rid of him.

If the accused has been arrested and is in judicial custody then police are given 60 days for a minor and 90 days for a major accusation and charges. After this period usually unless charges are serious cops cannot oppose bail claiming that investigation isnnot finished.

However once accused are released on bail, chargesheet may be filed in 1 month or even 1 year.

Normally if chargesheet is not filed for say 6–12 mos then accused tries to quash the fir.
