Exactly! I mean, it's okay to keep the details confidential but why do you have to lie? And to be very honest, it wasn't because of her interview. The live chat of Ekta-Ram-Sakshi I talked to you about, the way Ekta described it, a girl too innocent - I don't get that vibe from her. Plus Disha's IVs too weren't very specific. So I was hoping for anyone but her.

Coming to promo, as we expected. Totally a misfit and looks pathetic! Sorry for the language, but they just don't blend and it seems forced.

I have mixed reaction. Surprisingly, I really liked Nakuul but Disha seemed stiff. Plus Nakuul being 38 wasn't believable.

Again referring to the live, Ekta had a point that since it has been a decade, we have a new set of audience. The concept of urban loneliness is good but she wants to modify it for today's generation, which I was telling you the other day as well. Our core feelings are the same but with the passage of time the external factors are changing. So you have to up your grade.

If you see it from that POV, Nakuul's argument about being single does make a point.

But since it's a bit modified version, why not change the title or the name of the leads? Why not show a bachelor living alone as that's how it works these days. Not everyone lives with their giant joint family.

I said it in my last reply as well. It's not like you compare between two shows consciously. If you feel some things are similar, naturally your brain starts to comparing like uss show mein yeh wala point accha tha, yaha pe yeh cheez behtar hain and all that. So no matter how unbiased of a viewer you are, eventually you'll end up comparing the new version with the older one and it might look really bad.

So I think this show would have a better chance with a different name and also some modification like no way in hell they look like 32 & 38. Rest, let's see how much she actually modifies it.

Since I didn't see Ekta ka interview, I can't comment on that, at all. Hi5 on the lie.

It's good to know your views. His argument was fine but overall everything seemed a misfit and it didn't blend. It's not like sequels haven't been made and never worked, but it should fit, and connect must be there.

About the comparison, I don't agree. Cos in the earlier discussion, comparison was of totally different shows. Here, it's a sequel. So some comparison, I will definitely do, but I won't compare too much if I see a show, then I can't enjoy. Trust me I have regional sequels or a few show sequels,but I saw them on a fresh slate. So it didn't look extremely bad, but ofc I have had my views as a whole piece. If I disliked, I quit.

But everyone is different, possibly you enjoy comparisons. After all sab alag hai, aur choice hai.

Yes, they could have changed the names, is all I can say. Good luck to them is all I can say, cos I don't have any interest to see it.

Anyways today I totally skipped Cheese Sandwich, (Raghvi). After a long time, I saw sequence of Mandar and Aai just for seeing the performance, and they were brilliant! Like kudos to both of them, Asmita Mam is seasoned, but even he matched her amazingly and body language and change in expressions, maza aa gaya!! 👏👏

Today for the first time I did not skip the cheese sandwich cum cheesecake... Overdose tha but aaj cheese jhelne ki capacity check karne ke mood mein the hum.

Anyways, on a serious note, the episode belonged to Ashok sir and Asmita ma'am today. That sequence and their performance were the highlight. The sudden change in expressions and body language of Ashok sir when Mandar was faking being guilty, then when Mandar was standing on the terrace edge to the expressions when he was at his Aai's feet and then the sudden change when he picked her up and threw her off the terrace... amazing!! (Gave me kinda baazigar movie vibes though)

Asmita ma'am complemented him greatly. She is a seasoned actress and Ashok sir matched her too well. The change in her expressions were too good especially the look when Mandar was about to throw her off. Too good mann!!

The episode was owned by these two!!

Actually, this was exactly my point - in some cases comparison is inevitable and you can still love all the versions if it's executed properly. So it's crucial for them to do the research before reviving a show.

I don't actually. 😆 It's like you are writing about something and hit a block, then you find something new, you are focusing on it and all of a sudden you find an answer to your earlier question.

I would say we all have some basic principles. So somewhere along the line the characters we like, they too have some similarities. At least in my case that has been the case. So sometimes I analyze alternate scenarios.
