by the way, I was curious to know from people living in countries like USA and UK, how does the authorities and government manage the drugs usage there ? Is anything illegal ?? since judging from comments on main forum, it seems USA is full of legally consuming hard drugs on a regular basis.....if yes, then how do they get any work done ??

I have worked with a US based vfx studio and though they had the freedom to drink Alcohol post 7 (office used to close at 5.30 and most artist would leave for the day) and on friday, they could consume it the whole day while working.........but people from my team who has visited also shared that nobody was that drunk that they would misbehave and couldn't work........ but noone every mentioned drugs, esp hard drugs

I think in my state people have to have a medical license to do marijuana. But there is huge talk about decriminalizing it on a national level. Because marijuana is less dangerous than alcohol. It can not cause you to get sick or wake up with a hang over the next day. No one dies from too much marijuana but people can die from too much alcohol usage. Weed can actually have some health benefits if used in moderation. There are only a few studies it makes you dumb. Some studies say it can be good for the brain. But there is a lot of politics that went on in America that India does not have. For example, "the war on drugs" basically had a racist undertone. It locked up mostly the black and hispanic population when white people do marijuana at equal rates and are hardly ever held accountable. What did they do with these imprisoned populations? They forcefully made them do free labor like helping out with the fires in California right now. Can you imagine poor imprisoned kids being made to do that? It basically kept slavery alive but in the prison system.

Now the sympathy has seemed to increase because drug usage has seemed to have spread to the white population. Especially the uneducated white population or the "blue collar white workers" who were dependent on factory jobs in America at one point. Now that bad trade deals like NAFTA or Permanent Trade Relations with China shipped those jobs oversees and they don't have many alternatives without at least having a college degree. So their dying abusing much more dangerous drugs called opioids. I think the simplest solution would be to just implement universal healthcare just like every other developed nation. Thus if anyone develops mental health issues due economic stress they can see a doctor for free. Earlier it was just black and hispanic people who were discriminated against when applied for jobs or to colleges but even though they put them straight in jail without an iota of empathy.

And all the taxpayer money the states have to use putting up new prisons since we have more people in jail than any other country now, including China. We basically make up 5% of the population and 25% of the worlds population has taken away funding from education. We once upon use to have free state universities. Massachusetts and California has some of the best state universities. And that actually kept drug usage low because kids could do something productive, pursue their dreams, and have a good life if they wanted to. Now a days they get caught with some weed it goes on their record for life and they have no chances of future employment or furthering their education with a criminal record.

So, yes, there are talks of at least decriminalizing marijuana if not legalizing it. In fact if the prison lobby that makes money of the free labor of children hadn't bribed the politicians in congress we would have already legalized it by now. Bribery is also legalized in America. But no way is America at a place where we are ready to legalize drugs more dangerous than alcohol like cocaine, crystal meth, among others. I don't know what planet these people live in.

Late Sushant Singh Rajput's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty was arrested on September 8, 2020, by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Her brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and Sushant's house help Dipesh Sawant have also been arrested by the NCB under various sections of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act including possession, purchase and transporting, financing illicit traffic and more.

On Tuesday, the judicial custody of Rhea and Showik Chakraborty was extended for two weeks, upto October 6 2020. In response, the actress' legal team filed for a bail plea in the Bombay High Court.

The bail plea was scheduled to be heard today but now stands postponed to tomorrow, 24 September due to heavy rains in Mumbai city.

Several details of Rhea's bail plea have come to notice. According to Times Now, the actress alleged Sushant of smoking cannabis cigarettes and stated that he sourced them for himself.

As per the report, Rhea Chakraborty has alleged in her bail plea that her late boyfriend Sushant used to 'smoke cigarettes containing ganja which he sourced & procured for himself'.

Rhea also added that she was concerned about Sushant's alleged drug habits and when confronted him, he allegedly informed her that he had developed a 'deep liking' for the cannabis cigarettes during the shoot of Kedarnath.

Rhea's bail plea also highlights the June 2019 molestation incident where she claimed that Sushant's sister Priyanka Singh misbehaved with her under the influence of alcohol. Rhea has spoken about this several times in her statement and had stated that this led to differences between the actor and his sisters.

In her plea, Rhea has stated that Sushant's eldest sister Neetu had called and threatened him that she would file a false criminal case regarding his altercation with Priyanka.

"Sushant was extremely disturbed by this incident as his sister Neetu's husband is an IPS office and he was concerned that they would misuse connections to "coerce and threaten" him" reads an excerpt from the statement.

Rhea has further stated in her bail plea that she had reached out to OP Singh and Neetu that to resolve matters, and claims that she informed them that she would go to the police about the molestation incident if they filed a false case against Sushant. As per her, this step 'seemed to scare' Sushant's family.

Rhea also made mention of the Europe trip and claimed that Sushant was "anxious and disturbed". She claims that Sushant had shared with her about a similar incident that he had in 2013 and was treated by Dr Harish Shetty back then.

Speaking of changing apartments, Rhea said that it was Sushant who told her and manager Shruti Modi to to look for other apartments as Capri Heights was haunted.

Meanwhile, Rhea Chakraborty's bail plea will be heard tomorrow. Follow this space for more details and updates...

I might be completely wrong. It’s illegal in NSW except kings cross street. I don’t know if it’s allowed as part of recreation or medically supervised. But I see lot of people stoned in that street.
Also the beggars in train stations and city centers are definitely peddlers. They not only sell but consume. I have seen so much happening in day light both in Canberra and Sydney. I think police intervene very rarely. May be they wait for big quantities to involve so that they can get to the root of big suppliers.

Maximum penalty: $2200 and/or imprisonment for 2 years.

It is not an offence to possess a small quantity of a prohibited drug or self-administer a prohibited drug inside a licensed medically supervised injecting centre. However, you can be charged outside the licensed injecting centre if you are found by police to be in possession of prohibited drugs which you do not have a lawful prescription to possess or use.

Police guidelines encourage police to use their discretion to not investigate or charge people in the vicinity of the King’s Cross Injecting Centre, but there is no law that specifically prevents you being charged with possession outside the Centre. Supply offences will be investigated and prosecuted.

Police will not normally attend an overdose unless:

they are requested to do so by ambulance paramedics or medical personnel (because ambulance officers cannot control people present at the scene or due to a threat of violence);
a death has occurred or there are suspicious circumstances (like attempted murder);
there is some other crime involved; or
they were the first on the scene.

Police guidelines direct police who do attend an overdose to use their discretion not to charge people at the scene or the person who overdoses with administration or other minor drug offences such as possession.

How does that make her innocent ? All they will have to do is go to a non bias doctor and get a diagnosis? Either Manshinde is funny or the law in Maharashtra is hilarious.

It is still illegal for most of the country I believe.

At the end of the day she will declare the whole world as bipolar except herself

And what's the relation of this to procuring drugs in large quantities?

She herself is saying Sushant used to get ganja cigarettes for himself. So why did she also buy stuff for him. Kehna kya chahte ho akhir !!!

Don’t know how true it is. But it is chilling.

One description says how CEOs of multinational studios were invited to these drug parties. Once I shared a weblink, how all multinational studios suffered losses. One of the reason hinted was the kickbacks that could have been received by CEOs.

The article explained, these studios bought movies from some movie makers at a very high price. But they did not get the returns in the expected way. The movie makers (one of the beneficiaries named in that link was Excel Entertainment, Farhan Akhtar was a part owner) made good profit out of this deal. But it was the international studio which suffered the loss. CEOs of these studios were unaffected. They kept getting high salaries or moved from one studio to other.

Vidya Balan’s husband is(/was) the CEO of an international studio. Farhan Akhtar is a beneficiary too. Why they want Sushant to rest in peace is understandable.

And still he made a post about his eldest sister and jiju saying the most important duo of his life.

👏

His soul would be in so much pain , as his love of life is literally shredding his family into pieces 💔

Also the last video of released was of as late as Jan 20 where he was with them. Sorry but in no way he looks threatened or fearful of his two sisters.

I am done with this case. Can't listen to degradation of a family. I am sorry Sush.

You deserved better.
