While a lot of you were discussing about Japanese people being soft and nice people, I thought of saying this
You're all aware of the Hiroshima-Nagasaki bombings and the kind of impact it had on the world not just Japan.
So I thought there was a universal consensus on what U.S did to be a horrific act devoid of humanity especially on dropping the second bomb after seeing the effects of the first bomb and I kind of assumed that they regret for what they did
But was actually surprised to know that, U.S has not officially apologized for their actions till date and still justify it,
I was eager to know what their justification was and I came across an interview with the guy who dropped one of the atom bomb and also other pieces of information in the internet
It seems Japanese that time werent the nice people that we know of them today. They too committed horrific gross acts against humanity like Rape of Nanking, bombing Pearl Harbour(which was their obvious reason) and many such acts when it was an Imperialistic country ruled by an Emperor. So the only intention they had at that time was to subdue Japan
Also during that time, if they dint have to use that bomb, they had to do a land invasion using their navy to surround them on all sides. But this would have made the toll to double. So bomb was their best option. As for second bomb being dropped,it seems its because they dint surrender(there are different theories on Japanese surrender which I think I may need another post on that, which I'm not going to do 😆)
Also there is another story how Japan was driven to attack Pearl Harbour and US just used it as a poor excuse
But the larger point I was making was on Japanese people being nice, idha pathi sollumodhu, thought of sharing this
(Pardon me, I like defense related discussions)
