Massive erosions have been witnessed at various places of Sonitpur, Udalguri, Jorhat and Barpeta districts.The Brahmaputra river at Nimatighat in Jorhat, the Dhansiri at Numaligarh in Golaghat, the Jia Bharali at NT Road Crossing in Sonitpur, the Puthimari at NH Road Crossing in Kamrup and the Beki at Road Bridge in Barpeta are flowing above the danger marks.

An 11-year-old boy jumped into a river in Assam when he saw a woman and her child struggling in the water. The young boy not only managed to stay afloat in the rising water level but also saved the woman and the toddler.

The woman was trying to cross a small river in Assam with her two kids, when the water level suddenly went up. The young boy, Uttam, saw them struggling and immediately jumped into the river and saved the two. The other boy reached the shore before the water level went up.

The district officials have now said that they would recommend Uttam's name for the national bravery award for children.

Many heart-wrenching stories and people are struggling to sustain, Govt is not bothering about to save the people. Our office people are trying their best to help them with food, medicines and shelter. Everywhere the weather is playing havoc in human lives.😭

So sorry to know about the floods in your state. Been reading in the websites too, hope all your near and dear ones and even others in your state are safe. Once the floods recede, mosquito menace will start. Take care, Madi, will keep you all in our prayers.
