Its more limelight on Esha and Kay kay. Sobti was second fiddle sorts. Didnt like the girl Aditi at all, unnecessary booze, fag and rebel.

God knows if others epis are better.

And really hope Sobti has more meat here.

Btw, he is looking superb 😛

Not my cup of tea :P fast forwarded here are there and finished. I couldnt connect with the whole thing. It should have been something like Kapoor and sons but didnt get their.

Acting was good. Production value was awesome, no blinky bright colors or anything ...

Kay Kay Menon's character is bit cliche but his acting is much better than others ... actress who played his wife's role was also too good. Comparatively Sobti and is partner paled :(

Sobti was looking good but I am slowly realizing that I watched too many of his off screen interviews that I am not able to diffrentiate between him and his characters but seeing Sobti more than character ... Samar wasnt convincing for me but I am so glad to see him on screen...but even now its ASR only for me...

Btwn ... my 'Bhuhahahaha' was a small victory gloating 😆

Thanks Mira, for you honest review. Kay Kay is a very an actor par excellence (in my humble opinion) and that's what I was afraid that hope he doesn't overshadow Sobti. I would still love to watch this show as I have subscribed to ALT😳..but I may also FF half the scenes😆

Tfs for the review Mira. Check this out, I dont think the content was bad. The production value seemed fine. But looks like the effort to make an 'impact' was too much.

I have seen only 2-3 epis till now and I can tell you that while Kay Kay's character is cliche, he has done a good job out of the character. Sobti was good, but there was nothing new that I havent seen before in, ASR, Arjun and Sukhi or Haider.

I mean, I love Sobti as an actor, but I think that experimentation with his character was not very conspicuous.

Anyway, the content value was better than Tanhaiyaan, but I liked the subtly and pairing and chemistry in Tanhaiyaan more.

Swastik Productions to launch a new rom-com Jalsa'

MUMBAI: Swastik Productions is doing some fabulous work on television. The producer, Siddharth Kumar Tewary recently launched epic mythological drama Radha Krishn on Star Bharat and he is already in talks for pitching other entertainment dramas as well.

After producing some epic mythological shows, Swastik Productions will now venture into another genre which will tickle the viewers' funny bones. According to our informant, Swastik will produce a rom-com which is titled Jalsa.

"The casting for Jalsa will begin soon and the show is being pitched to top GEC's. Sony TV and Colors are their top choices, added the source.

We tried contacting Siddharth for a confirmation on the same but could not reach him for a comment.

Keep reading this space for more updates.

I agree Ecri...I am not a fan of Tanhaiyan but the chemistry was much better in that.

I am actually upset with myself... I am no longer enjoying Sobti onscreen as much I want. I dont like him playing roles similar to his real self... Sukhi and Samar seems to be too much him. I prefer Haider and ASR any day.

I am more hopeful for that crime thriller

Thank God we are on the same page, Mira. And from the reviews, I think, a lot of others are too.

Tbh, Samar was not bad. But then, the character wasnt good either. It was a very average/ second fiddle sorta role. And for someone like Sobti, I was expecting so much more.

Nevertheless, I am sure this web show has opened new avenues for Sobti.

I hadnt thought I would say this, but Asura looks much better now. Although with Arshad Warsi there, idk what to expect from Sobti. I really hope, he does one web show all by himself and with no BW stars there. Then all BW actors get the limelight and he is overshadowed.

Also, no matter how pathetic/ repeated Gul's story is, her characters are better. EK has better content, even TGIDF was better content wise than Tanhaiyaan, but characters of EK are not always out-of-the-box.
