have you watched s1 (shooted in LA) of supergirl ? and then compare it to mid s2 & s3. dude S1's costing was much more than S2 & S3 and the later ones have much better everything. Supergirl initially started on WB channel.

TVD & TO were shot in Atlanta & Vancouver. They have the house and everything pre-shot from different places but the scenes are shot at different ones.
