Barry and Patty were better than Barry - Iris. every show have like ships ren't decided but in Flash they had that article from future which had them married so it wasn't anything extra ordinary and if they would have gotten Barry - Iris marry in S2 or S3 :/ nothing out of surprise.

Another reason I don't watch a lot of English shows, too many goddamn ships. 😆
