But I am so happy for her especially because of the fact that she got the award for size zero, a movie for which she worked so hard, took risk and slayed the role.

Children's Day Special

What if D,S,R and T were classmates / schoolmates ?? 😛

Part 1

Note: In this D,S and R are same age except T who is a year younger.

Jubilee Hills School, Hyderabad.

Class V Section B.

Grumpy teacher enters the class.

"Silence children, raise your hands when I call out your name."

After a few names,

"Rama Naidu Daggubatti"

No response.

"Didn't he come to school today ?"

"Miss, he is here miss!" a student points to him.

"You are here, then why didn't you raise your hands?"

The tall structure wearing white shirt and shorts gets up from his seat meekly.

D: Miss, you have to call me Rana. I like it that way.

"Oh I have to call you the way you like ?? Who do you think you are ?? Stand up on the bench."

R frowns and stands on the bench entire class is silent except for chuckles coming from one corner of the room. Teacher immediately recognizes the voice.

"Veera venkata sathyanarayana..Stand up !!"

D used to tease R when the teacher read his name as 'Rama Naidu' but now he has a longer name and teacher calls out his name in full infront of the whole class. His cheeks turn red due to embarrassment. His hair neatly oiled and side parted, D gets up from his seat and bends his head crossing his arms at his chest feigning innocence.

"What is so funny that you were laughing ?? Taking 10 for English and you want to laugh ?? You too stand on the bench!"

Now it's R's time! He turns back and sticks his tongue out at D who gives him a irritated look as he gets on the bench.

"Both of you will stand like this for the entire period. Ok children take out your books."

Class ends. It is break time. D and R wait for their bestie, T.

T dressed in a white shirt and navy blue pinafore, her hair braided at two side and tied with ribbons. Her fringes came till her eyebrow and she resembled a porcelain doll that came to life. She comes hopping to meet her friends with her lunch box and water bottle.

The back of the staircase which lead to D and R's classroom was their territory where they were found if not in their classes or field. They had even scribbled their names 'Rana, Tammy and Pabsu' on the wall to mark the place as theirs. The trio sit in a triangle formation facing each other and open their lunch boxes.

D: I got tomato rice!

R: I brought egg sandwiches!

T: Mamma made us chapathi rolls. Here Rana, Pabsu.. this is for you.

As the drill, they feed each other the first morsel of their lunch before eating themselves and share whatever they bring with the other.

T: So how was your class today ?

R: Grr humpty dumpty miss made us stand on the bench.

D nods his head sadly.

T: Why ??

D: Because we laughed.

R: I didn't like her calling me Rama Naidu and when I told her to call me Rana she asked me to stand on bench.

D: I laughed at that so she gave me same punishment and more over insulted me for getting 10 in English that too infront of gals I felt so bad you know Tammy.

T: Oh dear she did that ?? Bad miss !

R: Serves you right for teasing me!

D: Hello you don't talk you also failed in science.

T: Oh no don't fight both of you. Rana, you are good in English and D is good in Science why don't you help each other ??

R: We do that Tammy but whatever I teach is not going to his head and same I understand nothing when he teaches me.

T: Ok we'll find a solution to that but first we have to teach that humpty dumpty miss a lesson !

D: Yes !! I was thinking the same!!

R: Right Pabsu. I want to make her stand on the bench too !!

T: I got an idea !

After their quick lunch, they go up to the classroom and see humpty dumpty miss marking notebooks. As per the plan DR put their best faces forward and enter the class.

"What is it boys?"

D: Miss, we didn't understand this sum. Can you pls teach us again ??

"What were you both doing when I was teaching in class ?? Talking and laughing ?? That is why ! Blah blah blah.."

And she goes on with her lectures. The boys pretend to listen. Seeing this T crawls in and hiding behind the two palm trees slowly inserts something into one of the books and runs away.

"I will go through this sum again in class tomorrow. Pay attention then now go!"

D and R apologize to her. They cup their mouth trying to stifle their laughter and giving each other a thumbs up they exit the class and hide behind the class door where T is waiting.

As the teacher flips the pages of the book,

"Aaahhh cockroach !!!"

She throws the book away and stands on her chair disgusted at that creepy thing which was actually a plastic one ! Seeing her up on the chair staring at that thing in fear, D and R feel relieved. Giving each other a high-five they escape from the scene with T guffawing all the way.
