unrelated to the topic of discussion but a couple of scenes in the above ad related to boys crying on winning or losing reminded me of one of the reasons why I love Federer so much..the guy has won almost everything there is to win in tennis..and yet he cries (sometimes literally wails) everytime he loses as well as wins something significant..heck he admitted to becoming teary eyed on his wedding with his long time girl friend and the mother of his to be born children coz the enormity of the occasion got to him..most commentators and fans make fun of him for crying easily but I think that makes me like him even more..makes me feel these things mean so much to him that he cant control his emotions..😳
I guess G might agree

ST

Dont even remind me of my choice videos. They were facepalm.

Federer is just one, I know DiCaprio and many others who cry when they win awards and it has nothing to do with being a weaker man, that notion only exists in india. But crying is synonymous to being human, emotions at play.

I personally feel that its best to vent out and feel better, rather than just bottling it up all within.

season 2 does drag a bit before the finale but it was still great overall
add to that the phenomenal acting

Bonus: It stars Pedro Pascal whom i love in Got

Season 3 is getting rave reviews too

Chalo on your recco, added it to my must watch list.

Thanks for the heads up. 😊

I do agree that children are spoilt rotten by overindulgence, but even the ones that are not, dont have the same character to face things that few generations ago had..kind of herd mentality at work like herd immunity (post vaccination does)

Disclaimer: sorry for jumping in and commenting. I haven't read previous posts on the topic and since are moving fast with multiple comments, its difficult to cope up
so my reply may sound out of line

ST

Totally get your point and agree to it, to an extent too.

But then a generation does not compete with the older generations. The facilities are available for all people in a particular given gen and so the challenges they face as a generation altogether are vey different.

A case in point would be admissions abroad. Not saying it was easy earlier but relatively better and now its the toughest, imo.

And this is just one thing, if we look at it, there are more challenges too, depending on what strata we belong to.

@ bold - Yes I agree with you.

Ben, I would not compare the challenges of last generation with new ones. With technological advancement life has become easy and with less hardship. What was not easily available before is plenty now. Today's generations' few challenges are technological detox, overcome instant gratification, to understand that life is not all about needs and wants and is beyond it. They have more competition in the real world.

I don't know what you mean by saying that the old generation is more sorted out. Well they have experience to back it with. I find that the new generation is way more smart and have resources that helps them to stay clear of issues. They do act their age however they are more responsible and take decisions based on facts rather than emotions. They are brave and they exactly know what they want in the future.

When i converse with people of the age group of 20's their life is not all party. Its way past it. When they study they study with full concentration unlike us who were more indulgent in strikes😆

I can not draw a straight line with pen ST those portraits are beautiful. This is the real good artists.
PS - As far as ST goes I too was confused as to why are you being dragged in IPK😆

@Bhavi WORD, You have said it like no other. I meet some kids who are barely 5 and believe me at 5 was way more unconcerned if not unaware. Every gen comes with its own pros and cons and how i see it is that no one particular is better, and none bad, except of course the most conspicuous changes which is why most elders rant that their gen was better 😆

@SoreT There you have a distinguished UN now 😃
Idk, the comparison of two generations is not worthy if we dont take almost all factors into account. Hence, if you say this gen got things easier, then yes and the biggest drawback to it is that 'you' are pitted against people who are your thought - alike, if you get the drift of what I am saying. So slowly but surely the acceptance and adjustment creeps in. It does it in late but it does.

And lets not forget that the current gen of males is far more acceptant than the previous gen, imo. While the women are much more open minded and less subdued.

I always love looking at the positive aspects. 😊

Shivani looked so pretty in White. Why can't they see the difference? But her acting was OTT, OTTer, OTTest.

Atif just tweeted about tomorrow's rain romance and Twitter pankhies are naaching

@blue yes I already mentioned long ago and I hear the new entry has started shooting too. Did you miss the updates?

The leads defo looked good but sorry, that doesnt earn brownie points from me for horrible episodes.

Btw, SNS is overrated, there are better mediums for letting out constructive criticism.

@red: agreed..how they turn out depends on how they use the resources..some become complacent thinking everything will fall in their laps and other utilise every opportuinity they get to the max..
I have had mixed experiences with "millenials" some of them just dont take anything seriously..for them life is nothing but a never ending party.. and then there are a few who know exactly what they want and go about life so systematically to fulfill their dreams..unfortunately I have met more of the former than the latter..
thats probably the trend in Indian metros currently

i know the article is from buzzfeed (and they arent to be taken seriously) but it sort of points out the issue

@bold SoreT Its all about perspective and the glass of life can be half empty or half full, its just how we see it. 😊
