Imagine the lady's name is Bhavna.

Bhavna and her husband were watching BB2. Mostly her husband was interested and he saw Bhavna not much interested in watching BB1 or rather any tollywood movie ever. But this time Bhavna herself drew him along to the theatres to know why katappa killed baahubali.

Anyways her husband was astonished to see that when everyone was awww seeing amarendra falling for Devasena and giving those cute smiles and looks, bhavna was shedding tears.

Bhavna's husband Suresh was an IT personnel and couldn't give almost any time to family and wife. So he didn't know anything about what made his wife smile or cry, neither did he bother to.

So he just ignored when his wife kept on weeping in that whole otherwise happy scene and kept enjoying the movie.

In the interval neither of them talked. He remained busy on phone but whenever at times he accidentally looked at his wife...she seemed driven to some distant land. He ignored as usual. Women and their minds.

After the interval when katappa killed baahubali finally, everyone was weeping around him. But this time he saw no tears in his wife's eyes. Rather she stared very indifferently at the screen. Suresh could never understand his wife so never tried to even.

They didn't talk at all back home. Bhavna ate dinner early and went to sleep. This was their actual daily routine. Living in different islands.

That night when Suresh finished work and landed on bed at around three, he knew his wife was awake.

" Any problem? "

He asked finally.

" they look so good together. Don't they? "

" who?"

" prabhas and Anushka. "

" It's three in the night and you are thinking about who look good together? You are such a kid. " Suresh turned sideways.

But I have heard from married people that in the initial days they will be shy and feeling awkward but as days goes they'll be shameless with each other. DS are in that 'shameless' stage now.

Her phone rings non-stop. S rushes to her room, she smiles when she sees the name flashing on the screen. Caller tune is Heyssa Rudrassa ...

D : Hello

A : Bangaram ... [His voice an octave lower]

D settled down on the couch, the smile lighting up her face

D: When did you return?

A : A while ago. Shooting is hectic nowadays [He added as an afterthought] What about you?

D : I took a day off. All these fencing, horse riding, archery - Love them, but I needed a day off

[She didn't add that she missed him though]

They have known each other now for a few months, and yet the excitement and novelty of the first meetings, first interactions had not worn off. They were both busy in their own spheres, but caught up with each other regularly, actually on a daily basis. No wonder they were the bestest of best friends now😳

And she didn't even realise when he started calling her Deva, and then proceeded to Bangaram. Neither did he notice when he became Amara to her. And the way she pronounced it, so lyrically that he often found himself relaxing, at the moment.

And then feeling sheepish about it later.

A : I was thinking ... [His voice meandered off]

D's MV : Hope he hasn't dozed off. She panicked

D : Amara ... Amara, wake up ...

A : I am awake only Bangaram. Just thinking.

D thanked her lucky stars, there had been incidences when he had dozed off while she had been talking non-stop on the other side of the phone.

She was curious though

D : What were you thinking?

After eons, he answered

A : There's nobody at home. Come over ... please [drawling on the word please]

D : Huh ?

[Her eyes shot up to her head. What was he saying?]

A : Yes, I need you over here ... now

Getting up from the couch, D started walking to and fro, trying to understand his words. And him

D's MV : What the hell has happened to him?

[She felt elated, but knew something was definitely not correct]

She said gently

D : Amara, I can't. There's nobody there ...

Even before she could finish, he spluttered

A : But you must. Don't you love ...

[Her heart nearly jumped out of it's cage]

A : ... Err, don't you think of me as your beloved friend?

She sighed deeply

D : Ok, but only for half an hour or so. I have a shoot tomorrow.

A : Yeah, yipee.

[D could almost visualise him prancing around, making her smile even wider. He was such a kid, sometimes]

After half an hr ...

D parked the car and walked towards the main entrance. Even before she could ring the bell, A had opened the door and was standing there in front of her, a wide grin plastered on his face.

He hugged her in greeting, closing the door shut.

Holding her by the hand, he pulled her up the stairs towards his room. But instead of his room, he guided her to the covered terrace there. D's eyes widened in astonishment as she noticed that dinner was laid out for both of them.

D : Huh, So the King actually did cook? [She asked enthralled]

He pulled her towards the table, all excited, as he muttered under his breath ... Only for my Queen

D looked up at A

D : Did you say something?

A shook his head

A : No. See I cooked chicken biryani, and idiyappam wand egg curry.

D looked at him in disbelief

D : You should have cooked when all family members were here. Who will eat so much now?

A : That's why I called you ... [His grin had now widened]

D : Oh God! You called me here only to eat? And i thought ...

She turned away. She felt a tad disappointed, though she didn't realise for exactly what

His fingers were light on her shoulders

A : Aww Bangaram, I should have told you before I requested you to come here.

[He had slowly pulled D closer so that her back was resting on his chest, as she stared at the night sky]

After a few moments, he continued

A : Deva, I have sweetened coconut milk too ... for you

She turned around to look into his eyes, thinking of reprimanding him, but the baby face dissolved her steely resolve

A continued, a bit stricken, sensing D's discomfiture

A : Or have you eaten already? Is your tummy full?

D sighed again and walked onto the terrace, sighing. And wondering why she sighing so much recently? Had she been wrong in reading the signals? Or was she just hyperventilating?

A followed her silently. He broke into a toothy grin a few minutes later, as he noticed her steps falter and her palms flew to her face

D : Amara ...

There, in the bright light of the full moon, and partly illuminated by some marble wall lamps, lay the entire terrace, now covered in petals. Rose petals. The strong, rich smell of the roses assaulted her senses.

His hand was now on her elbow, as he guided her on, to the centre. An elegant marble top, lavishly decorated with rose petals and jasmine flowers held a single vase, holding a single rose.

A turned D, who was now rendered speechless, towards himself. Cupping her face in his palms, he looked deep into her eyes and smiled

A : My Queen. That's what has been in my mind for months, even while lazing.

D tried to laugh, but tears clouded her eyes and choked her throat.

A leant forward to kiss her eyelids, one by one, causing the tears to spill over. Deftly wiping them away, he leant forward and kissed her forehead.

All the while, D was trying to control her heartbeats, wondering whether she was dreaming.

D's MV : Somebody pinch me

A took the opportunity to kneel down in front of her as he quickly fished out a small, black box from inside his pocket. The solitaire glittered as he opened the box ...

A : I couldn't think of anything worthwhile to gift you. You are my life Bangaram. Nothing is more precious to me, than your companionship, your friendship, your love ...

D managed to find her voice somehow, as she looked at him in disbelief.

D : Are you drunk? Or is this a joke? Or is Bh hiding somewhere around, laughing at us? Or did you hit your head?

A : Marry me D, please

His eyes were now earnest, and D knew that this was not a joke anymore. Suddenly the world seemed to lose focus and she slipped down on the ground, kneeling face to face

D : Are you serious?

Her mind was reeling. Who would have thought that this lazy guy would be so romantic in his overtures? Who would have thought that he would have proposed to her when she was in her tattered jeans and a faded, old Tee? Who would have thought that he would have proposed to her in his pink coloured hoody? Ugh!

Looking at the ring, and then up into his eyes, D realised that the time had come

Yes ... she whispered inaudibly

And before she could even realise, he was happily looking at the ring on her ring finger. And then as universes collided, he pulled her closer for a searing kiss ...

After a while, they both broke away, her hands clutching at the rose petals

D : Oh God. Did I really say yes ...

A : Kiss me some more

D : You will swoon ...

A was now serious

A : Yes, and if I do, you will run away and I will have to eat all the food by myself. Can't risk that now. The refrigerator is not working today ...

D laughed out aloud as they got up from the terrace floor

D : We were kind of punished, like school kids

A : I like this punishment so much more ... [His eyes travelled to her lips]

D pushed him away, as she started walking towards the table, containing food. A followed close beside her, casually slipping his arm around her waist.

D : Behave ...

A : I am ...

His breath was warm on her neck as he said

A : BTW Devsena, I love you too

...
