Waise, why can't we say that Maya is a sociopath?...In advanced stage?...Coz childhood abuse n weak conscience point in that direction...

Rida will be able to explain this in a brilliant way for sure. I can only make an attempt to, read the following article explaining how closely yet and how different they can be from each other.

Some points highlighting the key difference between the two.

- Unlike psychopaths, most sociopaths don't hold down long-term jobs or present much of a normal family life to the outside world.

(Maya successfully ran F&C for a long period)

- When a sociopath engages in criminal behavior, they may do so in an impulsive and largely unplanned manner, with little regard for the risks or consequences of their actions. When a psychopath engages in criminal behavior, they tend to do so in a way that minimizes risk to themselves. They will carefully plan criminal activity to ensure they don't get caught, having contingency plans in place for every possibility.

(90% of the things she's done are always planned and calculated. She does care about the consequences, as in, she doesn't allow her reality to be exposed in front of the world)

- Without emotional involvement, any pain that others suffer is meaningless to a psychopath.

(Self harming, physical pain is meaningless to her)

- Psychopaths, in general, have a hard time forming real emotional attachments with others. Instead, they form artificial, shallow relationships designed to be manipulated in a way that most benefits the psychopath.

(She doesn't share a one real relationship with anyone, a relationship that's not toxic and destructive both to her and the person involved, the second line screams about Arjun)

- People are seen as pawns to be used to forward the psychopath's goals.

(Yeh samjhana toh nahi padega na?)

- But psychopaths can often be seen by others as being charming and trustworthy, holding steady, normal jobs. Some even have families and seemingly-loving relationships with a partner. While they tend to be well-educated, they may also have learned a great deal on their own.

(Doesn't this nail her personality?)

- Basically, just read the entire article.

You know why you are bashed Husna? Because you hold the capability of blowing them out with your logics. They can really stand nowhere. And as for the 'real neutrals' out there, I hardly see them making neutral posts.

Neutrality is subjective to one's sense of judgement. I'm not dying here to be 'liked' by everyone on IF. 😆 It's all okay, it's in the past, let's look ahead. And thank you for all the kindness and appreciation. 🤗 *Khushi and I like to make fun of each other, don't mind that, it doesn't mean anything other than just harmless fun*

Thanks! There many pop culture references (not that I have seen/read all of them) that clearly distinguishes between the two and portrays them accordingly. That's the reason why I can't bring myself to think or say that she's even an overlap of both. You gotta thank the CV's for the bad characterisation in this aspect, the confusion and ambiguity. 😆

I'll pitch in an example of a show where both the cases of a sociopath and a psychopath are shown.

BBC's sherlock.

Sherlock - High functioning sociopath.

Euru Holmes (and probably even Moriarty) - Psychopath.

I'll second what has been said earlier in this thread- that bit of analysis you posted deserves to be on the main forum.

Usually not one to suggest something like this, but it's obvious that you've spent a MASSIVE amount of time and research on that article and it deserves to have as MANY views as possible. 😊

Think we're not doing too shabbily here- almost 2K+ views daily?, but an article like that deserves its place on a wider platform.

I thank you for all the compliments and appreciation. But I'm going to stick to the following reply I made to penfolk.

Mujhe maaf karna oo penfolk, waha topic banane se pehle lungi upar wale ka naam. Aur phir uss khayal ke liye bhi tauba kar lungi. *insert tauba tauba emoticon here* 😆

Although, if anyone of you wants the analysis there, I'll give the permission to post it. But if anyone of you are doing it, please make sure my note is included and also please ask everyone to not bash the heck out of me. They're all free to dissect, challenge, debate, counter argue, correct the described content though. 😃

@Bold - Oh, yes, we're doing rather well for ourselves. 😎 *touchwood*
