The concept of this show itself has loopholes. Given that she used to visit a psychiatrist since nine, who took her to him/her?
Justifiably her mom. Because her father was the one who created situations. And usually if you start taking therapy from such an early age, you are bound to respond. And most importantly when your family is responsible, the doctor talks to the family too. Specially when she's so young. I bet the doctor had talked to jahnvi too. Had counselled her too, must (not might) have asked her to take legal help. The doctor has got a lot of duty to a patient's well being. Specially such a juvenile patient being subjected to domestic violence. The doctor must (not might) have informed the police if not jahnvi. But then if jahnvi had strongly protested that okay let my daughter's mental health go to the bin but I won't involve my husband into legal tussle, the doctor doesn't have a choice. If that is the case (which can only happen in petty tv shows like beyhadh) , then I don't understand why she even took her daughter to a therapist. Because if such is the mentality of a mother, she would do nothing of that sort for her daughter for the sake of her husband. But she took and then I don't know what the heck happened that Maya grew up but didn't continue visiting the therapist, with no improvement of her mental health precisely. Such great personalities as she have personal therapists these days, even normal people do to lead a stress free life. But she doesn't. She just takes some antidepressants but that too doesn't bring into account any doctor, had it been, things would have been different. So such bloody poor loopholes of this show doesn't let me sympathise with maya in the first place because I myself belong to the medical fraternity and I very well know what psychotic patients should do to survive properly. They should consult a doctor and follow instructions, not what maya is shown to be doing. Because this doesn't just happen. It happens only coz it's a tv show.
