Leena is managing better than I thought . One month after her C section she is better than my expections .tough girl . We had no choice . I took time off for wedding and for Leena . My 2 month vacation is over . I did not go away for vacation but I had great time with wedding and Leena .it was relaxing .every one took time off to help Leena out . We have exhausted our resources so Leena has to be on her own . Jay is good and cooperative , so far no J factor he is very loving towards baby so it helps .Her husband is incredible he helps , cooks cleans " no attitude " so that helps .he drops off Jay to school one of us picks him up . She only block away so we all visit her every day . Raj is good baby . No crying or no fussing so she is very lucky and doing well .

Right now, it is very chaotic.

Our visionary Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi says that he wants India to move to the US model where we don't deal too much in cash. At least that is what he says. He says he wants to eradicate black money. he says that by making the 500 and 1000 notes defunct, he has crippled terrorist organisations. He says a lot of things.

But the ground reality is different. People are not against digital payments or credit cards or bank cards. But how much is the reach? There are so many places in India where there is no bank branch for miles on end. Forget about functional ATMs. We cannot compare poverty levels in India with poverty levels in the US. He should have ensured that everyone goes digital first. Then, he should have banned the currency. How many fruit, vegetable, flower and fish vendors transact digitally? They don't mind going digital, but prepare them first!

And the fact is that counterfeiting and black money is still thriving. I personally know people (saw this happening in the bank) who use their connections with the bank to convert old currency to new. So, two suitcases filled with old currency will go into the bank and the same amount of money will be filled into the suitcases with the new currency. So nothing is being declared and nothing is being converted. The bank helps these big businessmen retain their black money.

So, basically, it was not a properly planned move. Many have suffered.

Sorry, I can rant forever about why this note ban was a bad move. Apparently, it was also illegal. The Prime Minister needed to get some permissions as per law, which he has not done.

Anyway, moving on to other things, my ticket has been booked for the 12th. Next Monday onwards, I'm on the road. Will mostly be able to log in from Bangalore or Chennai. Will be roaming till January.

Will come round before I leave, for sure. Love to the babies.
