Just wanted to share aajkal ki taaza khabrein with you guys. Will return soon to hear all about Heema's vacation 😃
I wish someone would make pakoras and adrak chai and give. The weather is perfect for it. Never mind the kilos I am putting on...Apparently, when it rains in India, it is the duty of onions and potatoes to roll themselves in batter and jump into boiling oil. How nice it would be if that actually happened!Anyway, signing out now. See you all later. 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗

Same story every year. Every year, Bombay is submerged and every year, mishaps happen. Every year, the government tells us some lie. Nothing changes.
The only thing I am feeling good about is that I made friends with a stray dog and cat. Both were pregnant and both had tiny newborns. The torrential rains had some of them being carried away in the flood. Rescued them and brought them into the building. They're in an unused corner of the security cabin. Newborn kittens look like rats, I must say. Newborn puppies look a little more like their own species.

This is especially for Heema...the Indians in the CC would know this news.
Heema, if you want to follow this news closely, just enter 'burari case' in Google. There's just too much happening on that case to paste all links here.

I have mixed feelings about this, honestly. I support the ban. Plastic is bad in every way for the environment. And yet, the way the government is going about it seems all wrong. Wonder if they have a plan in place at all. All they have right now in the name of a plan is imposing fines on anyone seen holding a plastic bag.Stupendous fines (to the tune of a few thousands) on a lay person using plastic. What about companies that manufacture plastic? Why are they not in the news for penalties and so on? After all, they have been manufacturing it with government consent for so long! Why punish the end user for using something that was promoted as a cheap option and made widely available?Anyway, in the interest of the environment, it is a welcome move. These videos sum up why I think the plastic ban is urgent and necessary:
