Especially the fact that Geet was pregnant since Indian audience and people in general are so obsessed with girl's virginity and sex life. I still get to see MG fans calling Dev a rapist which I find wrong. Yes, he betrayed her in the worst way possible but rape is a very strong and offensive crime to use to describe what he did.

Also I've never seen a female protagonist disown her own family which Geet did. Now that was one helluva scene. The cvs gave such a strong message there.

Anyways, whoever opens the next CC please post the link in our FB group.

Geet still career best role of DD because she had grown up as an actress through that show. Now she has gone for demotion I didn't like her in MB when she started to act as a doormat en ETR 2 was another blunder, here she has shown how bad she can acts.

Geet 'sigh'. It was an obsession. still is when I start watching it. specially office days or till mrg.
Geet not only disowned her family but also disowned Maan when she thought he was helping Dev. 😆. the worst thing CVs did to this serial was Geet forgiving Devand later getting him married to her cousin. He was supposed to be in Jail. that's the only part I hated abt GHSP.

Tell me about it, Arti. Geet was the only good thing DD ever did. And Muskaan too. Since I was a blind fan I was under impression she is a versatile actress. But she proved me wrong in ETR2. In MB she at least was average and in some scenes above average. But in ETR2 she was downright pathetic. Even her crying scenes didn't have the usual effect it used to have. They all looked so forced.

Ahhh! Mannu. I thought I was over Geet. I mean I do read MG ffs still sometimes but that's not cos of MG or Geet anymore. It's for reading purpose strictly. But yesterday I saw something on MG after ages. It was a VM on Dhal Jaun song and scenes were from Geet's revelation of her being pregnant to Maan coming to that platform to bring her back. That VM made me realize that I'm so not over them. I can never be. Cos the moment I saw the first scene, I was literally hit with nostalgia and also with all sorts of feels. They were magical. Their chemistry, scenes, dialogues. Everything about Geet deserves to be obsessed over.

And you're so right. Geet wasn't the typical heroine that we get to see on TV now. I might not have liked her misunderstanding Maan back in days cos he obviously did so much for her. It made me think how could she doubt that man. Who chose her over his brother. But now when I think about it, I'm glad they didn't make her a blindo or someone who felt oblige towards Maan just cos he helped her so much. Also, it would have been unreal if she had shown full trust in Maan cos no matter what he did, he was still Dev's brother. She was burnt in a relationship once, however long it may have last or even if it was fake. For Geet it was real, she gave all of her into this and got stranded and almost died. So I liked the fact she walked off from this relationship as it was justified and right from her perspective and was capable of standing on her feet without Maan's help or support. She was one fiercely strong woman.

I hated two things in Geet. Geet forgiving Dev and marrying him to Nandini was the limit. Also her miscarriage. They killed the main plot of their serial by doing that. I can still understand her forgiving Dev as she truly needed to move on after the miscarriage else she would have been stuck in the past forever. But marrying him to Nandini was too much. I despised that a lot. Still do.

Also while watching that VM yesterday, it made me realize that Maan truly was a dream man. Yeah he manhandled Geet in initial episodes and treated her badly, but I feel he more than made it up for all his misbehavior once he was head over heels in for her. And I think that term suits no one but him. Cos not only his dialogues sounded selfless or in depth and meaningful but even his action spoke volumes.

Like in the VM he said on the platform that goes something along these lines : "Tumhare guzare hue kal se mujhe koi farak nahi padta hai, par Tumhare aanewale kal ka main hissa ban na chahta hoon, Geet"

*first line can be wrong as background music suppressed his voice but the second line was clear*

^^ I was sold once again at that line. Usually in shows it all about I, me and myself. But here Maan had always kept Geet above all. She was his priority and in true sense, he proved that she was his life and he could do anything for her. I loved how he said Tumhare aanewale kal main hissa ban na chahta hoon and not Tum mere zindagi ka hissa bonogi which is what people always say to their loved ones.

The whole Amitsar track made all MG fans mad as they butchered Maan's character in this track. But again, no one but only he can go to any extent to appease his Mishty and seek forgiveness. He was ready to become a driver and a eat "daal chawal" when the man ate nothing but Italian all the damn time. I don't remember watching a show where a male protagonist did something like that just to get forgiveness from his angry and upset wife. At the max they all are shown singing songs, cooking their wives' favourite food, planning a romantic date, etc.

Yes, the characters were all jokers, but they compensated with some amazing MG scenes. Like that letter scene. Gosh! It was beyond beautiful and divine. The whole ambience they created had truly left me awestruck. It was magic.

I'm so not over Geet and can never will be. Like any other show this one too had loopholes and lots of idiotic tracks where both Geet and Maan behaved out of character but overall they did good. Even Vikram track was a good one as it gave DD some scope to showcase her acting.
