These days i notice of scren couple like Gurmmet Debina,Ravi Shargun &Vivian his wife. Participate GR8. photo shoot..Hope some day Monaya too partcipate in GR8 photo shoot [Even though i dowt that happens since Monaya are simple &private people.]

Before the show goes off-air, Diya Aur Baati Hum fans can rejoice as the makers are all set to bring Season 2 of the show. While the 3 years old Star Plus beloved show is pulling its string off from television this September, the second season is already making news for its distinguish star cast.

Yes, Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid will no longer be associated with the show as their characters of Sandhya and Suraj respectively, will be shown dead. Whereas, its other central characters namely Bhabho, Babasa, Meena and Vikram will be retained. Now the question comes in is, who will be playing the lead roles in season 2.

With the latest development, we got to hear that the makers are planning to introduce a macho actor for the main lead role who has done films, to add a celeb factor to the show. And the names that are shortlisted for the same are ofSharman Joshi and Sonu Sood. However, the final verdict is yet to be taken; we hear that the makers are more keen to bringSharman Joshi as the lead. And for the female cast, the auditions are on for a fresh face as it would be a character of a simple homely girl.

We hear that the pilot too will be shot soon once the actors give a nod. Are you excited to welcome a new season of beloved show 'Diya Aur Baati Hum'?

I think the next 'Jhalak' of the Sehgal's will be Sanaya's birthday in September. Really hope they have some pity on us and post atleast a pic. I hope too that MoNaya do a photo shoot for GR8.

The popular TV serial Diya Aur Bati Hum' is set to end soon and it seems the show that will be its replacement on Star Plus could be Mahesh Bhatt's TV adaptation of the film Zakhm' (1998) which starred daughter Pooja Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Sonali Bendre.

An insider revealed to Deccan Chronicle, "Mahesh Bhatt is all set to start his television innings with a brand new fiction show. The show is partially based on his famous 1999 directorial Zakhm, which starred actor Ajay Devgn and Bhatt's daughter Pooja in the lead roles. The show will be aired on Star Plus and will replace the channel's most-popular ongoing show, Diya Aur Baati Hum in September this year."

Interestingly, Bhatt recently announced his chat show too and it seems he really is leaping on to the small screen in a big way.

Confirmation is yet to come from Star Plus.

Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum gets it off-air date

Star Plus' popular show, Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions) has had a phenomenal run of five years!! The names of Sooraj and Sandhya have become household names, and the simple and realistic story of a girl getting unconditional support from her husband to meet a balance between work and house, has created warmth in the viewers' minds.

Now, it is time to bid adieu to the show!! As per the news coming in, 11 September will be the final airing date of this cult show.

As per sources, "Diya Aur Baati Hum will wrap up on a good note, with peace and justice prevailing after the high-voltage child trafficking drama. Though the team has not locked the climax track, we hear that the child trafficking track will go on for the whole month of August, wherein there will be many highs and lows in the Rathi family."

As reported by Tellychakkar.com, work has begun on a probable Season 2 of Diya Aur Baati Hum. If it does happen, the show will not see the leads Anas Rashid and Deepika Singh taking centrestage. Instead, the show will have new leads. The latest we hear is that auditions have started for the Season 2 of DABH. Also, few of the present characters will be retained.

We tried buzzing Producer Sumeet Mittal, but could not get any reply from him.

Our efforts to reach out to the channel spokesperson were in vain.
