Excitement is in the air as our Bollywood's bong beauty, Bipasha Basu, is set to tie the knot with handsome hunk Karan Singh Grover on April 30. Since the time, the two lovers announced their wedding date, everything and anything that they do makes up for the headlines. From their respective bachelor's party to all the details about their wedding ceremony, everything makes its way to the internet. Though the wedding is supposed to be an intimate affair, with only near and dear ones in attendance, we were looking forward to the grand reception, which was supposed to witness a celebrity galore turning up to wish the couple. But, it seems Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover's grand reception has been called off. Instead, the couple is set to throw a low-key party to celebrate their big day and it would be attended only by the selected ones.

A source close to the couple was quoted saying that "They will instead be having a low-key party on the night of the wedding. It will be an intimate get-together with the couple's closest friends coming down to make their big day special."

Further, the source revealed that Bips is personally taking care of all the arrangements concerning her wedding. A source informed a leading daily that "Bipasha wants everything in the wedding to be a surprise, even for Karan. She is personally taking care of every minute detail of the main function. Her parents (who flew down from Kolkata just a few days ago) are helping her with the arrangements."

Salman Khan's car hadn't even left the Olympic Bhawan when wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt decided to express his anguish. It had been less than an hour that the actor was named the ambassador of India's Olympic contingent, a first of sorts. But the London Olympics bronze medallist was not pleased. "What is the purpose of an ambassador? Stop fooling the people of this country," he tweeted in Hindi

His 140 characters were enough to set the cat among the pigeons. As it is, the Olympic Bhavan on Saturday was a scene of organised chaos. Some of the association's office-bearers were not allowed to enter their own office by the bouncers hired to guard Salman. In a cramped hall in the basement of the building, nearly 100 people including the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) officials and their partners (along with the sportspersons in another room) waited for an hour for him to arrive. But that was all forgotten the moment he appeared in India's replica kit for the Olympics. Back stage, table tennis player Manika Batra, who qualified for her maiden Olympics, pouted and posed for a selfie with Salman while hockey team captain Sardar Singh presented the actor a signed jersey. He jokingly blamed Delhi's odd-even policy for his delayed arrival but beyond the banter lay the moot question that Dutt posed in his inimitable style. He did not mention Salman's name in any of his post, but it was obvious his criticism was directed at the actor's appointment. He further tweeted: "(sic) Kahi bhi ja Kar apni movie ka promotion kare,Es desh me adhikar hai Lekin Olympic movie promotion ki jagah Nahi (This country gives you right to go and promote your movie anywhere but Olympics is not the place for movie promotion)," he wrote, referring to Salman's upcoming movie Sultan, where he plays the role of a wrestler from Haryana. Dutt also questioned Salman's contribution to sport in the country. "(sic) PT Usha, Milkha Singh jaise bade sports star hai jinhone kathin samay me desh ke liye mehnat ki. Khel ke kshetra me Es ambassador ne Kya kiya (Big sports stars like PT Usha, Milkha Singh worked hard for the country in tough conditions. What has this ambassador done for sport?," he added. Actor, IOA justify selection This isn't the first time Salman is named as an ambassador for sport. In 2009, he was named the brand ambassador for Indian football by the AIFF but it did not take the sport forward even one bit. He was hopeful this time, though. "It depends on both... I feel Olympics doesn't get the viewership it deserves, which cricket gets, and that's because we watch it more and other sports don't get it because we don't watch them... we are to be blamed," said Salman, who was roped in as the ambassador by IOA's commercial partners IOS Sports & Entertainment. IOA president N Ramachandran said the Bollywood star hasn't charged a penny. "What Yogeshwar said is his personal opinion. From my point of view, it helps a lot in creating awareness not just about the athletes but also about Olympic sports. When he talks about it, millions of people who do not follow sport will also take a note of it," Ramachandran said.

The top 12 contestants of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are dazzling the entire nation with their melodious voices and awe-inspiring attitude. While each of the aspirants is truly remarkable, one young talent, who hails from Punjab has been stirring millions of hearts with his soulful voice.

Tanveer Husain, whose command over qawwali and flair for the style is commendable, aspires to establish himself as a Qawaal. The 25-year-old Tanveer has already impressed the jury members and all the four mentors with his melodious Ghazal singing.

Recently, the singer created the atmosphere of a mehfil on the sets of the show with his song Jugni', which was applauded so much so that Sajid-Wajid were compelled to appreciate him with a 'Nazrana'.

Well, this wasn't all!

So impressed were the music director duo Sajid-Wajid that they offered him a chance to record a song with them.

Speaking of Tanveer's singing talent Sajid-Wajid says, "Tanveer is one of the best contestants of Sa re Ga Ma Pa whose voice is ready to record songs. His voice is such that everyone on the sets gets emotional listening to him. His voice modulation, versatility, and throw is mind blowing. We have seen many singers who are versatile, but Tanveer tops the list. He is an expert in Ghazal and Sufi genres, and at the same time, he can give you goose bumps while singing Bollywood numbers too. He has a long way to go and we are extremely excited to record a song with him."

Known for his perfect style, disarming smile, serious persona onscreen and versatile acting skills, acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan is the "best father in the world" to his sons Ayaan and Baabil, says his wife and screen writer Sutapa Sikdar.

Sutapa also shared that Irrfan, who appears to be serious and only means business on the silver screen, is very funny in personal life.

Asked if Irrfan in personal life is as serious like he is on screen, Sutapa told IANS: "Not at all. Never. Irrfan is very funny and he is very good with my children. He is the best father in the world. I really mean it. He is just the best".

She also mentioned that the "Piku" star has a great understanding towards his sons' emotions.

"The way he understands them, their mood swings and other things... It's not just about playing football like most of the fathers do. He understands their children's mind, soul, heart and understands the different approach in parenting," Sutapa said.

"He is a very good and wonderful parent," she added.

Irrfan and Sutapa studied together and have been married for over two decades.

Sutapa says that the key to have a successful and a positive marriage is sharing the load and "re-inventing" the relationship.

"Every couple has a different mantra (for a successful marriage). (For us) There is no particular mantra, but what works for us is sharing the load... I could share emotional load (with Irrfan)... that is what is important," she said.

"Keep re-inventing... Forget husband and wife, if every individual keeps re-inventing, then any relationship will go in a positive direction," Sutapa added.

The "Maqbool" star, during his journey in filmdom, gained global recognition with superb performances in films like "Slumdog Millionaire", "Life of Pi" and "Jurassic World". He will next be seen in the film "Inferno" alongside Hollywood star Tom Hanks.

Asked how she reacted to Irrfan's rise in international cinema, Sutapa said: "Irrfan doesn't plan such things (international projects). These things just kept happening one after another. It's a difficult question to answer because I have been with him since I was a student. We were students together. So it is difficult for me to answer about (his) international fame and how do I see it".

Sutapa said she saw Irrfan's "process" along with him and that she "saw his hard work".

"I didn't know this will happen, but I always knew something good will happen because Irrfan works very honestly and conscientiously."

Sutapa had written a script for a television show in the actor's initial days.

Would she ever like to direct a film and cast the "Paan Singh Tomar" star in that?

"I don't know right now. But of course I am writing... We are producing a film together, where he is acting; so that's the first step!" she said.

Sutapa added that she enjoys all the limelight for his superstar husband, but she personally is very shy of all of it.

"I am very shy of all limelight. (But) I enjoy it for him because an actor's life is about limelight. Right?"

Irrfan and Sutapa were in the capital for the launch of detergent brand Ariel Matic's "ShareTheLoad" pack.

Asked if Irrfan shares the load with Sutapa, she said: "Like you said he is a superstar; so naturally he has a constraint of time... But for us, load can come in various kind of forms so it's not only about washing clothes. So he does share the load in many ways".
