Yeah this was before they started dating. Ranveer was always smitten with her. It was in this Zee Cine Awards 2011 where he first saw her physically from a distance on the red carpet and he mentions how he was speechless just looking at her. This was his first award show after his debut in Band Baaja Baaraat. DP never interacted with him before SLB got them together for Ram Leela so she wasn't ignoring him per se as she did not know him at all.

Ranveer's expression in the video is so cute. He has this - I have got to keep my game face on and not let people see how excited I am that my dream girl is in front of me😆

Veer was always besotted with her. He even had a tiff with ranbir at bir's party, just after his debut in BBB, while he was dating Anushka, over DP. Veer supposedly was drunk at the party and when that Dum Maaro Dum started playing Veer went up to Bir and told him that DP was the hottest of all his rumoured GF and exes😆

Her parents have accepted Ranveer for a long time now darling. He has been visiting them in Bangalore with her for more than a year and even went for Prakash's birthday. It has nothing to do with Bajirao's success. She has been opening up about Ranveer since the past one year and btw all the interviews that we have posted here where she is so openly affectionate are for the promotional tour of Bajirao Mastani, before they even knew the fate of the film. So kindly refrain from making it appear that this sudden love and admiration of hers is based on his successful turn as Bajirao.

This is my most favourite article, a premonition of how things were going to be. Veer was so into her way back in 2011 itself and I loved his taunt to Bir😆

P.S. For those out of the chronological loop.. DP Bir were completely broken up in early 2010. Band Baaja Baaraat released in late 2010 and DP Veer came together for Ram Leela in 2012-13.

Ranbir Kapoor, who has the house to himself, threw a party for his friends from the industry a few days ago.

His parents Neetu and Rishi Kapoor are travelling and RK Junior has been living it up big time. When there's a party in Bollywood, there's no fun unless there are some shindigs or shenanigans. That's exactly what happened at Ranbir's, says a source.

Apparently Anushka Sharma, Shahid Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and a few others were dancing the night away; when a slightly tipsy Ranveer suggested to Ranbir that he should play the remixed version of Dum Maaro Dum with Deepika Padukone in it for the umpteenth time. "What's more Ranveer apparently started discussing Deepika at length telling Ranbir that Dippy was the hottest girl he dated," says our source. "Ranveer who is usually very loud and crass even went a step ahead and added that the line in the Dum Maro Dum song, Pant Khichega Ki Nahi... was intended at RK Junior. Naturally Ranbir wasn't one bit amused. And he made his displeasure evident by asking Ranveer to shut up. Even Anushka asked her Band Baaja Baraat co-star to shut his mouth. But Ranveer wouldn't listen."

The party ended, alcohol levels came down and everyone went their respective ways. However, there is stress between Ranveer and Ranbir, says one of the guests.
Chances are Ranveer may not end up partying with RK Jr for a long time. Unless, of course, Ranveer learns to keep his tongue in check the next time around.

I think DP hesitated back then to open up about her relationship to Ranveer because she was at the peak of her career and everybody praised her for her work so she wouldnt open up about a relationship which was back then only a year old. She definetely wasnt sure where the relationship will lead towards to which changed now she feels the security to open up. I think the real acceptence must happend one year ago when those bangalore pics come out because from there she didnt shy away to get clicked openly with him. And i sence there must be somewhere a commitment between the two. When everybody thought these two wont last it really looks llike they will even get married before Ranbir Katrina. Families spending that much time together in this year and they dont hide it even shows for me that marriage is definetely on the cards Deepika would never ever be that open after the fiasco with Ranbir.
