Looks like he is moving on background checks...BTW I started my Noam Chomsky book...he makes broad statements ...without going into details...may be he will have more details later...but yes... Stability over democracy...that seems to be the way...The topic is certainly interesting...I am not sue the book is written the best way ...though...let's see...

BTW turns out what Hillary was saying about Trumps rhetoric is true...let's see how he responds...BTW did you read the new study about Trump supporters? These are not hard right people...they actually tend to be republican leaning voters...right of the middle...very interesting...

Can't believe holidays are almost over...Peeps do stop by and say hello...I would hate to write this cc off as something whose time has come to an end...

Sush lots of Noam Chomsky stuff is quite controversial but it he is known to be well informed and ideas have gained prominence.He is some one criticizes America a lot. He believes we are very imperialistic. Never really read is book throughly I have used stuff from his books like "Interventions" to supported my arguments in papers.

About Trump supporters, your right. I was under the impression he was appealing to radical tea party or extreme right wing folks who tend to be bit delusional and let's face it racist. But it happens that there actually blue collar people that are frustrated about stagnant wages. And taking their frustration out on minorities. They prob don't understand Trump's agenda is not going to help them much.

I think i might have bored everyone with my political discussion.

Noam Chomsky is indeed well regarded ...so I am sure what he is saying has merit...it is just that he does not approach anything from a neutral point of view...he makes sweeping statements ...with the assumption that the motive is always evil...I wouldn't say that's the best way for anyone to see the point...A bit like Michael Moore...people on the extreme left ...love him...but he comes on too strong for someone in the middle...any who...let's see what he has to say...He seems to be holding US government accountable for immoral practices of the groups they support abroad...My view is that ...the moral behaviors of the governments US supports are not within US control...,I think it would be naive to think it is...I don't think one can make an argument that the opposing groups had any better guarantees for moral behavior either...It is just a harsh reality...one has to recognize and accept that...

I am not sure if Trump supporters are all blue collar...Red...many of them have college degrees ...it was in the same survey...I also have friends who are very well educated who are republicans who say they will vote for Trump if he is the nominee...one of the friends is actually Muslim...believe it or not...all with college degrees...

I am not saying all Trump supporters are blue collar but a good fraction of them are according to stuff i have read. Even many well to do, republicans I know told me if it comes down to a chose between him and a democrat they would very well vote for him. Many dont even believe he is a racist but is saying what he needs to in order to win.

About Noam Chomsky, is any opinion completely neutral in politics? For me something worth looking into is anything thing that can be backed by substance. But the fact of the matter is most people are influence by others in their lives, their background and life experiences. Of course people with different perspectives will also have alternative views which they can back up with substance themselves. Even I dont agree with everything he says.
