ndian TV in the past years got away with their portrayal of rape victims and how basically it is the rape victim's fault for apparently "going out at night" or "wearing a short dress".

One of the most unfortunate crimes around the world has turned into a mean of getting TRP for various shows. Well this is to all channels that promise a new Soch, we hope you'll live to your own brands slogan. We the viewers as a part of India need to show channels and production houses that you can't get away by sending giving wrong messages. Are we being intolerant? No because we just want the portrayal of a rape victim to be done with a more motivating approach.

We need to develop our mind set in such a way that when some one close to us becomes a victim of rape,we as adults should be like,"Are you okay?What happened to you? We want to help you."

Instead in a normal Indian TV show every adults like "What were you wearing?","What were you doing?","Did you do anything wrong?","Were you on drugs or some thing?"

Thats totally beside the point and is of no meaning. We need to be more supportive towards the rape victim and love them like you have never before. We hope the writers, director or channel authority reading this article,get inspired and start the new phase of empowering woman. Let's be the change in this world!
