Tere Sheher Mein, the show that won many hearts has finally ended. The journey of Amaya Mathur's life, the hardships she faced in her life was portrayed in the show. Tere Sheher Mein had an amazing fun loving bonding offscreen and that what gave us some memorable scenes.



Some shows end on a good note and some end on a bad note. We all know that TSM came up with its own ups and downs. TSM gave its viewers good memories as well as bad memories for its different viewers. With the drastic change in storyline, there had been a difference in TSM viewership. The sudden change in story and the things that followed, led to huge amount of dislike from the viewers. But it also liked by some of its viewers. However, the show failed to make its successful mark.

This farewell thread is a small attempt to take you through the whole journey of Tere Sheher Mein that we got. Its understandable that viewers were not satisfied with the show overall, but its a humble request to Please keep aside the dislike that the fans have for whatever happened with their favorite show. Tere Sheher Mein, had hit the Television screens on 2nd March 2015. It went through various journey from Paris to Mumbai to Benaras.⭐️
The show started with the backdrop of happy lovely Mathur family which was headed by Rishi Mathur and Sneha Mathur. Rishi Mathur, a successful businessman gave a lavish high class life to his wife Sneha and three darling daughters, Rachita, Amaya and Jasmine. 😳

The main protagonist Amaya Mathur was the most pampered daughter of Rishi Mathur. Amaya's father fulfilled her every wish since childhood, so she doesn't see the value of money. After completing her studies from Paris, Mathur family gets headed for Rachita's engagement. 😳

But destiny had other plans, Rishi becomes bankrupt, and commits suicide.😭 Rishi's death changes the Mathurs' lives completely. They lose all their property in Mumbai and Rachita's engagement is broken. Rishi is stamped as a fraud in the media. The family faces a shortage of money and Sneha Mathur takes the decision of moving back to her hometown Banaras. Sneha and her 3 daughter struggle to settle in Banaras at first, but learn to accept their new home.

Rishi's friend and business friend Hari who is put in jail due to Rishi's bankruptcy crisis. Hari's son, Rudra, hates the Mathurs for keeping his father away from his family, and he and his mother Kaushalya start creating problems for them without their knowledge.😡

Along with facing hardships to settle in Benaras, the city also goes on revealing new truths to Amaya and her sisters. They came to know about the Chaubey family and the bitterness between the families. Gajanand dislikes the Mathurs as Sneha and Rishi married against Gajanand's will.

Meanwhile, Mantu, a charming tourist guide in Banaras, lives with his younger brother Chiklu. Uma is Mantu's best friend, but she secretly loves him and aspires to marry him. 😛

On the other hand, Rachita befriends Ramashrey, a decent and calm boy who runs his father's shop. Ramashrey develops feelings for Rachita. They both share the same problem of OCD, and soon they both become friends. But Rama starts taking steps to take their friendship to love. 😳

Soon, love starts blossoming between Mantu and Amaya while working at the same office😳, but Uma starts creating misunderstanding between them, so that they both dont confess their love. 😡

Later it is revealed that Rachita is the illegitimate child of Sneha and Dev Angnihotri, 😲Sneha's ex-boyfriend. When Sneha and Dev decided to runaway to Mumbai, Dev ditched her. Rishi accepted Sneha at that moment and gave Rachita his name. When Gajanand comes to know about this he forgives Sneha and accepts the Mathurs.

Meanwhile, Rachita and Rama's marriage gets fixed in a haste.

Later, after some ups and downs, Mantu realizes that he loves Amaya as well and confesses it during Rachita-Rama marriage preparations. But again destiny had major changes in the life of Amaya.

Dev joins hands with Sumitra(Rama's mom) to take revenge from Mathurs and Chaubeys. Sumitra threatens Gajanand and blackmails him about knowing Rachita is illegitimate child. Gajanand suffers major heart attack and suffers paralysis. On learning Sumitra blackmailing her Nana, Amaya quickly steps in to save her family's respect and reputation. By making a deal with Sumitra, without her family knowledge, she marries Rama to hide the truth and also to take revenge with Sumitra.

The story takes a altogether different turn from here. Rachita's marriage is broken for second time and Sneha breaks all ties with Amaya because of her betrayal. Rama hates her for marrying him without his knowledge. Mantu is heartbroken and he leaves the city.

Amaya faces lots of trouble caused by Sumitra. Her relation with Rama starts changing too. Rama's cousin sister Kangana steps in their lives. And Amaya moves on with a new journey on unveiling more chapters of her life.

Amaya and Rama clears out Rishi's name from the bankruptcy fraud case. Dev's evil intentions were revealed to everyone. Rachita knows the truth about her birth and Amaya is accepted by her family. Finally, after facing lots of troubles from the evil Tilak, Rama and Amaya realise their feelings for each other. The show ended with Rama and Amaya accepting their relation.

Rishi Mathur who is a successful business and his caring housewife Sneha Mathur has three darling daughters. Rachita Mathur, the eldest of all, is responsible and caring, but a OCD freak, who needs everything perfect. Amaya Mathur, is a carefree fashionista who considers her father as her Superman, bcoz he fulfills all her wishes lovingly. And the youngest of all, Jasmine Mathur is studious girl. 😳


Gajanand Chaubey is a egoistic man for whom his family's reputation is of utmost importance. His wife Pushpa Chaubey is a caring and loving woman who takes care of her family. They have one son Dinesh and his wife Dimple. Gajanand's grand daughter Neeti is

Dev Agnihotri was Sneha Mathur's ex-husband. Years ago, Sneha was in love with Dev but misunderstandings grew over time which resulted Dev to become revengeful. His aim had always been to take revenge from the Mathurs for ruining his entire life.


Rama's cousin sister Kangana, an independent working girl comes to Benaras to stay with her family. Her character was showed having split personality disorder. She would turn into her another personality Kanika at times. She falls in love with Tilak.
Wheareas Tilak was an evil character who comes to Benaras with an evil intention of doing bomb blasts in the city. Tilak pretends to be in love with Kangana, but finally his evil face is revealed.
