TOI : 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' to replace 'Dahleez' 😊
Saloni Bhatia| TNN | Jun 10, 2016

'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' will replace 'Dahleez' in the 10.30pm slot from July 1. According to sources, Dahleez will go off air on June 26. 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' currently airs in the 5.30pm slot, but it has been observed that the show has got decent numbers in an earlier time slot and the channel is hoping that the show's ratings will get better in the later, prime-time slot. The timespend on 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' has been better than 'Dahleez' and 'Tamanna', which is why the channel decided to shift the show to a prime-time slot. Shashank Vyas who played Jagya in 'Balika Vadhu', will be entering the show soon and the makers are looking to capitalize on his fan base. Meanwhile, 'Tamanna' will also go off air on June 26 and will be replaced by the Nakuul Mehta- starrer 'Ishqbaaz'. Yash Patnaik, producer of 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' remained unavailable for comment.

World Yoga Day Special: Ssharad Malhotra, Asmita Sood, Shashank Vyas debate about yoga vs gymming 😊

Shashank Vyas
Well, I have not tried out yoga so far. So, I have no clue about it. But yes I have heard a lot about it. I will learn yoga soon as gymming can be monotonous at times. Moreover, I like to try out new stuff in life.

Sargun Menta leaves for Canada for film shoot; Ravi posts an adorable pic of the two
TNN | Jun 21, 2016, 03.17 PM IST
Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey are one of the cutest couples of television. The two have been married for 3 years now, and they are still going strong.

While Ravi Dubey is busy doing Zee TV's 'Jamai Raja', Sargun has been soaring high doing Punjabi movies.

After the success of her Punjabi movie debut 'Angrej', Sargun is all set to fly to Canada for her new movie 'Love Punjab'.

Ravi, who is madly in love with wife Sargun, posted an adorable picture of the two with their dog Moyo captioning it saying "Missing my third musketeer already ! #SargunChaliCanada #filmshoot #SUPERHIT"

Sargun had also shared a pic regarding the big announcement.

The picture is absolutely overloaded with cuteness and seems like Ravi and Moyo are missing Sargun far too much.

Once, noted musician, Billy Joel said No matter what culture we're from, everyone loves music. How true is the saying! Isn't it readers?

We all love music and so does our small screen stars. On the occasion of World Music Day, few of our TV celebs spoke to us about what effect does they have on music. Let's hear what they have to say.

Shashank Vyas

Music is very important part of life. From my childhood days I am into creativity like drama, painting and singing. I think music defines personality. Music connects me with positivity and spirituality. Basically I love every kind of music. But yes I keep listening to old Hindi songs. I like instrumental because it is soothing and soulful.

Shashank Vyas ready to conquer again 😃
DECCAN CHRONICLE | SAMEENA RAZZAQ
Published Jul 13, 2016, 1:55 am IST

The long wait is finally over for his fans who have been longing to see him on screen.

After he famously quit the longest running flagship show Balika Vadhu, actor Shashank Vyas, better known as Jagya, took a rather long sabbatical. The fame his erstwhile onscreen character gave him would have easily overshadowed any new character he took on. So, to avoid the risk, the actor was forced to extend his break. The long wait is finally over for his fans who have been longing to see him on screen. Shashank will soon be entering the show Jana Na Dil Se Door as the rich and suave business tycoon Ravish Agnihotri. His entry is slated to give the much-needed push to the ratings and also bring into play the long due love triangle that will spice up the storyline.

Shashank says, "The Jagya' image was following me everywhere like a ghost. The hangover was too much. I desperately needed to get away from that image and hence I quit Balika Vadhu. But breaking free from it would obviously not have been an overnight process since I played the character non-stop for four long years. I needed to do something out of the ordinary, so I intentionally took a long break. And thankfully, it has paid off. Hopefully people will accept me wholeheartedly as Ravish Agnihotri."

Speaking of what drew him to the show, the actor adds, "While the script was being narrated to me, I found it very realistic. It touched my heart. The content has a lot of depth. I play stepbrother to the present lead Vikram Singh Chauhan. The relationship between the stepbrothers is beautifully woven in the show. I enjoy playing characters that give me scope to act. Since this character is a little complex, it will be a challenge to portray it on screen."

EXCLUSIVE: Bollywood Life got actor Shashank Vyas aka Jagya of Balika Vadhu to write a special letter for his dad on Father's Day and here is it...

Dear dad,

As kids, we often take our parents for granted. It is only later that we understand what went into all those efforts that you took so happily for us. On the occasion of Father's Day, here is a small note to highlight and thank you for the small lessons you gave me on love, equality, money management and humility.

As a kid, I often went to your office. While it was normal for middle management people to be extra gracious with their seniors, you were always the same with everyone. Whether it was your superiors, the peon or canteen boy, you held them with equal regard. You always said that everyone was special irrespective of their position or financial standing. As an employee, you earned only what you received as your due salary but winning hearts was always more important for you. I tried to imbibe a part of your ideology and trust me, I am a happier person for the same.

It has been quite some time since I quit Balika Vadhu but till date I get calls from my make-up dada, spot boy and everyone. It feels nice. I remember I was never in my allotted room during Balika Vadhu days. I would be with in costume guy's room with the spot boys and canteen walas. They would share their conversations with me. I would get so much knowledge about the technical part of acting and some gossip too (wink). I never behaved like the lead of a super-hit show nor lived like one.

Today, if I don't step out of my flat for a couple of days the watchmen come up to enquire. Dad, you go out for trips when you're away from home for days. Trust me, everyone misses you. They miss your warmth, small talk and how you care for each one of them.

Throughout childhood, mom would complain that you never had enough time for your family. It was not that you did not give us importance. We were a middle class family. You were the sole bread earner and you worked hard. I know that if I sign a contract that needs me to work for 12 hours, I will be there on the sets for that duration. I won't come home in eight hours.

As a daily soap actor, one earns well when one is working but there can be an uncertain lull before grabbing the next show. Thankfully, you always taught us to lead a middle class life. Throughout childhood, we would manage to meet all our needs and yet save a certain amount. You did not hanker after money but made the best of what you had. Today, I am happy to know that at 64, you are happy and most importantly, hale and hearty.

Even after I made my mark in Mumbai, your lifestyle did not alter even a bit. I remember us going shopping in a mall where we must have spent a few hours. Throughout I kept asking if you were hungry and you said No. Once we were back, you headed straight to the kitchen to make yourself some tea and toast. At that point, I might have found you miserly but now I realise that it was out of sheer habit. You have a few shirts and you're happy with those. Once, I bought you a shirt worth Rs 3,000 and you kept on lamenting why I spent a bomb on a simple shirt. It is not to say that you cut your costs or deprived yourself but your attitude towards money has taught me a lot. Seeing you, I am also motivated to differentiate between my needs and desires. This is one lesson I want to pass onto my kids as well. You have given me the confidence to manage my own money and till date I have fared well.

When I look back I laugh at the occasion when I was keen to buy a BMW for myself. You just did not understand me when I said an actor looks good' stepping out of an BMW. What you spoke of was the high insurance costs, maintenance, petrol and so on. You kept on saying that I invest in any profit-yielding asset than a swanky car. I am happier and better off with your wise suggestion. And I have realised than a good actor will get the same amount of respect from fans irrespective of his trappings.

Lastly, I know you're keen to see me married. Har cheez sahi time pe honi chahiye. You make enquiries from my friends whether I am seeing someone or not. I'm sure you'll accept my chosen one (if that happens) with open arms. Then, there will be two teams at home. Team B, where I will be alone and Team A with your bahu and you! Love you loads!
