Here after a long time 😊

Tina - Caught a few epis of Dahleez - Meghana Malik is really good 👍🏼 Somehow the lead couple do not appeal to me.. maybe the effect of SRS as IAS officer and Anandi 😳 think I should stop watching other soaps from BV prism!!

First BV post was a terrible disappointment - to add to that Ashoka that I used to watch off and on - is such a let down 👎🏼 - channel has messed up both the soaps real bad..

Wonder whether PS, PY, Siddarth Sengupta, Sid and T will ever get back with a serialagain!!!

@Appy and Gowri: Agree.. Mohit as grownup Ashoka I also feel is not the best choice although Mohit is probably very good acting wise. He is good acting wise but he looks too old for a 20 something Ashoka. 😕

Dharma looks younger than Ashoka now 😆 They could have gone for someone more younger or a fresh face..

Am not so sure about SS though.. He would be like Mohit too I think..

I guess even Sid would look older than Dharma but between Sid and Mohit Sid is a better choice considering the fact that he resembles little Siddharth Nigam.

I think they have considered these two guys who are in their thirties probably because they intended to show the entire life of Ashoka. He was supposed to have lived till he was 75.

Contiloe messes up post leap casting all the time, except JKR..so that trend continues😆😆

I feel Mohit would have made for a better Pratap - he had all the requirements to play that, extremely tall, bulked up and Rajputana mannerisms

and I dono about Shukla, but they needed another face for Ashoka, I cant place Mohit in this role, even though I like his acting..since the Dhamma Ashok part is extremely important, there needed to be a bit of natural softness in his face..Mohit is too rugged for this part and he indeed looks older than the whole cast put together..

How about that guy who played a role in Razia Sultan, Rohit something, he would be nice as Ashoka I feel

But, being bulky shouldn't have been that important IMO. They should have got Mohit to lose the bulky look and made him more leaner.

WTH they made out of Sushim😲 though.. He has become a total Voodoo guy.. Was this how he was ?

I remember A book I read about Ashoka where it said Asokha was out of Pataliputra but not like this in disguise and hiding. He was ruling some other province away from home. Dharma gets killed and Ashoka becomes Chand. I have to go and read the book again.

There must be some reason for the council of ministers for not wanting Sushima as the King after Bindusara.

Why did the council of ministers support Ashoka over Sushima?

There must have been a strong support for Ashoka without which he wouldn't have been able to capture the throne that too after assassinating his brothers.

The council of ministers must have felt Sushima was not fit to be the king of Magadh.

Sushima must have been insecure because of Ashoka's popularity and probably knew that Ashoka was much better than him on top of it only his father was in support of him.

So who knows what kind of things Sushima did in his insecurity?

Voodoism - we don't know whether he indulged in it or not but we are talking about an era where fear of unknown controlled the psyche of people.

but Bindusara and Ashoka were never fond of each other right? nor was Dharma Bindu's sacha pyaar..he had a child with her only because he was told to by his astrologer or something that she will give birth to the next emperor

also Ashoka was like really not good looking apparently, hence Bindu did not ever like him..shallow seriously and Sushim was touted to be his favourite.

this is what I read..so m not sure of its authenticity
